I have a question on the timing of the 5 day clearance period (my apologies if its been answered, i reviewed like 20 pages but didn't see it)...

I have a reservation with SNAs that begins 11/6. Today is 5 days in advance. Should the SNAs have processed last night at midnight (if available, which they are), or will they tonite at midnight.

Thanks!

When i have used these - they have all cleared pretty much within an hour of 5 days (120 hours) prior to local check in time.

So now because of hurricane (and bunch of nights) I will fall 3 nights short of 50 nights (but have enough stays already). So SPG now has me doing an extra 3 nights because of suite night, which is I guess what they wanted :-) Is 3 nights worth 10 suite nights? I have no clue but it also goes to lifetime status

IMHO it depends on your travel profile and your intentions with regards to use of the SNA next year.

3 mattress run nights in some 79 dollar airport motel in the states is definitely worth 10 Suite Nights for your Holiday with a +1 at W Hong Kong or St. Regis Singapore....

But if next year's travel is going to be all solo and for work anyway and your employer sticks you into 79 dollar rooms... Then having extra SNA up your sleeve won't do an awful lot to make life better for you...

Confused about Suite Night Awards

How are these supposed to work? I have a pending request (have been denied several times before this) for one night this weekend (within the 5 day window). I checked online and there is availability right now for the type of suite I requested. Why hasn't it been confirmed for my suite night award request? Are they waiting to see if someone books it before giving it away? If so, then these "awards" are 100% worthless.

I've offered to help with these before. More than willing to try here as well.

Send me the details via PM or email and I'll look into it further.

What do people in this situation do if they don't have a Lurker, or if they don't wish to share personal details with a Lurker (no matter how much we love and appreciate our Lurkers...)?

What would be the appropriate contact point at *wood/SPG to look into and address these glitches?

Cheers,

Confused about Suite Night Awards

While we're at it. I'm plat but never have gotten 50 stays. This year will be 2 short of 50. Are the suite nights worth forcing two stays?

Actually it is for 50 nights not stays. I think for only 2 stays (nights) it is worth it.

I did not use them this year but will have 20 SNA's next year and still don't know what to do with them yet.

For two additional nights I'd try to see how to get them in.

Last year I had a ~4 night stay at Maui and a Family Suite went through which was very meaningful. Without the suite nights I'm not so sure we would have gotten an upgrade as we were in mid summer and the hotel was fairly full.

I'm hoping the help Luker is doing with people will raise Hotels and the Platinum lines awareness of the expectation over time and for more people to benefit from this - without the need for intervention.

Why??? Are we getting redundant?

You may reach out to the nearest Customer Contact Centre and ask to speak to a Customer Service Specialist. I do know that my colleagues in the Singapore CCC encounter similar inquiries from time to time.

Thanks for advice. Yes, I meant nights. I'll push for 2 more. Jut couldn't tell if these ever worked well for people.
