Just checked my email and it says:Congratulations! Your application for the Starwood Preferred Guest Business Credit CardSM from American Express has been approved. We are expediting the shipment of your Business Card and you should be receiving it soon.

hmmmm...someone at starwood needs to get the 30k off the website, the big ad portion of the website after log-in (part of the "tab-ed" advertisement. Still says 30ks, offer ends 7/6/2010... (all while the bottom right says 25k for the amex) on the same screen...

Additional Card Member
Is there a better offer than receiving 1,000 Startpoints for adding an additional card member?

I hoping someone has some useful advice. I have a regular SPG card, but applied for the SPG business card on July 1. The application has been held up since then - reached an Indian call center a couple of times but just got read an unhelpful script.
Today I called the number a few posts above and got an agent who, after 20 minutes on hold, told me that they need to verify the business information, there needs to be a "real" business - they're apparently sending a letter asking for financial statements. (I had used the advice above to use my own name as the business name and minimum values.) My income, sterling personal credit and 25+ years of Amex membership apparently aren't enough.
How are others managing to get approved?

No matter - once I hit $1k spend and get the 30K points posted, this card is history.

Interesting that you had to show proof of a business. I used the title of my Living Trust, which I actually do use to acquire items.
