You obviously know more about the IATA than I do (which is absolutely nothing), so maybe you can explain how United was able to already announce their new Haneda schedule for Summer 2020 a little over a week ago. I was hoping that Delta would follow suit and announce theirs sooner than November.
Additionally, UA has the advantage of its metal-neutral joint venture with ANA which holds lots of slots at HND and could be assisting UA as well. With the ability of ANA and UA to work together to coordinate their scheduling, UA obviously feels it is highly likely they will get HND slots at their preferred times - thus their announcement now, before slots are actually assigned.

Thanks. It makes sense now. I guess I'll just have to wait until Nov before I can hopefully find a way to make my connection that was booked to be at NRT.

I fly SEA-SIN multiple times a year. In Sept I'm booked on some of last SEA-NRT-SIN roundtrip flights, then in October I'm flying SEA-ICN-SIN. I was hoping the change would let me get to Singapore sometime earlier than midnight, but alas, whether through NRT, ICN, or PVG, I'm doomed to arrive at midnight when flying on any Skyteam set of flights.
I wonder what Singapore Airline's new nonstop SEA-SIN schedule will be.

Is DL going to update their codeshare with KE?
Geez I have to go to BKK and SIN in October and everything is booking into YBM fares for SIN - ICN routings home on KE/DL. It's blowing up my pricing if I do RT or multi-city with SIN as a destination.
It's way cheaper to book SIN - ICN on KE (which still books into B from Concur but okay) and then a separate ICN - XXX - RDU itinerary (and it's the end of my trip and I've never been to Seoul so which just make a night/day of it).
In contrast my outbound RDU - XXX - ICN - BKK is $550.
I assume this is because DL and KE haven't done the proper steps to align throughfares to SIN that don't treat ICN - SIN as a standalone add-on which in turn puts it into YBM inventory.

Hmm odd -- I'll go back and look, it was bumping to YBM fares for the SIN - ICN - XXX - RDU fares which was jacking up the price to $3-4k+ for Y

This is what I'm referring to by the way and this is a straight multi-city search on DL.com (will book through Concur but it's reflecting the same thing).
Routing is RDU - DTW - ICN - BKK // SIN - ICN - MSP - RDU.
It's actually cheaper for me to do RDU - BKK ($600) and then separately book KE for SIN - ICN ($600) and then do a 3rd reservation for ICN - RDU on DL metal ($1000) which comes to $2200. For some reason at least on my dates (Friday or Saturday in mid-October) it forces SIN - RDU into a Y fare which blows pricing out of control and I'm just confused why DL hasn't added a through fare on SIN - RDU that books into the usual lower fare buckets.

FYI, (I know broken record) DL7933 frequently has slight delays. MSP is usually the one DL flight though you can count on making. The other DL flights wont with even slight delays. I know work after my snafu looked back at coworkers past misconnects from DL7933 being delayed. I was far from only person that misconnected from DL7933. The only flight to US they let us book now is DL170 if booking DL7933.

What date is the return? Also DL170 isnt daily year round. Regardless the fares have been pricing correctly for awhile. Seems you have a high demand day. FWIW fares ex-SIN are generally always cheaper than EX-US. It's why I book on US-SIN a year, departing and returning a year apart. I then book the rest of my flights as ex-SIN. Save thousands a year.
