Routing is RDU - DTW - ICN - BKK // SIN - ICN - MSP - RDU.
It's actually cheaper for me to do RDU - BKK ($600) and then separately book KE for SIN - ICN ($600) and then do a 3rd reservation for ICN - RDU on DL metal ($1000) which comes to $2200. For some reason at least on my dates (Friday or Saturday in mid-October) it forces SIN - RDU into a Y fare which blows pricing out of control and I'm just confused why DL hasn't added a through fare on SIN - RDU that books into the usual lower fare buckets.

FYI, (I know broken record) DL7933 frequently has slight delays. MSP is usually the one DL flight though you can count on making. The other DL flights wont with even slight delays. I know work after my snafu looked back at coworkers past misconnects from DL7933 being delayed. I was far from only person that misconnected from DL7933. The only flight to US they let us book now is DL170 if booking DL7933.
Looks just like bad/no availability in cheap fare buckets. Returning on Thursday is much cheaper, and there's nothing in the fare rules about specific dates, days of the week, or minimum stay that would be a problem. (X outbound, K return)
