Can I call SAS and get upgrade now?

Is is possible to call SAS and pay an amount to upgrade my PE to Business right now?
Lost bid of over $500 ($300 minimum) for flight SFO to CPN a day ago. Was at lower end of "strong bid".

Return CPH-SFO in 12 days. Can I just call SAS for upgrade. What amount will I need to pay 12 days to upgrade today?

Thanks

Answer: Yes, you can call SAS. And yes they have an instant upgrade price, so I avoid bidding. I thought the price was pretty reasonable, so did it today.

It is certainly possible to call in and request to pay for a higher class. Do you have status?

I assumed if you call in advance that you would pay whatever the fare difference is between your current ticket and today’s price on the upgraded class, plus perhaps the change fee, if applicable. Sounds like you got something better than this, if you say it was reasonable. Are you willing to share what the instant upgrade price was?

SFO-CPH today, $402 bid for PE to J failed, but J was quite full. We'll try again on the return, but perhaps I'll call and see if there's a better price.
We'll earn *G after this flight, who knows if that'll help...

Bid accepted, flight canceled

How do I get my money back? Will SAS process the refund automatically or will I have to go through the motions of filling out the online form for a refund?

Oops didn't realize you were earlier talking of flight cancel.

What was the price?

Hi there! I am sorry if this has been answered elsewhere, but I did a search in this thread, and came up with no results.

I am flying ORD-CPH in October. Then, CPH-FCO. And, then vice versa.

The short flights have an option to upgrade my seat. But, the long-haul ones say upgrades "not available." I am a bit disappointed. Is this normal?

Are the long-haul flights on SAS? Who issued your ticket?

$850. I think it depends on how many days out flight is.
Demand, I've heard that flying from US to Europe is often higher bids.
Day of the week. How many seats are left. Etc.

I booked directly from SAS.

probably route dependent. Our 350 flights were downsized to 330 and 321 (!!!) and the just over minimum upgrade won on the 330 (didn’t bid on the return) so no capacity issues on those…

If in Y, can you bid on both PE and Business, in the hopes that at least one comes through?
