And I would understand 20% more on $400 or $500 minimum bids. When the bids are priced low, it makes perfect sense to expect people to overbid. That's the name of the game. But, when the minimum bid is so high, and I think $760 is kind of high for a Chicago flight, considering I have seen LAX flights for much less....it seems kind of crazy to expect people to overbid. |

It makes me wonder....I know common wisdom is that bidding for an upgrade is usually less than what it would be if you upgraded at the airport. But, at this point, I actually wonder if you tried to book at the airport what it would be. |
Back in May it was $599 to upgrade at the airport from plus to business from ORD-CPH.
QUOTE=SkOrdBgo;35231757]US$325 accepted for plus to business ORD-CPH. Cleared t-24 h. According to gate agent the standard charges for plus to business is 35k EB points or $599.[/QUOTE] |
Thanks! That is somewhat helpful.
Except this flight does not have a Plus Section. Only Economy and Business. |
Dear All,
I was wondering if anyone on the Forum could share their experiences with upgrades within Europe. Are SK inclined to accepting minimum bids within Europe? I am in a situation where the upgrade on CPH-AMS would be helpful although the flight is extremely short. Thank you in advance. |
