Could you please clarify this. Are you saying that an SK Gold member can bid, say $350, and it will be seen by the bidding system as 20% higher, i.e. $420 when comparing to the bids of non-status bidders? That's a useful bit of information, if accurate. What about higher status elites - are these boosted by a greater percentage?

I have been accepted on the lowest $300 bid for all ex-CPH longhaul, and rejected on all ex-US for the same bid amount. Original cabin PE (all from those $400-$500 sale fares).

Another success at 13k points minimum bid with no status from Go to Plus on EWR-CPH.

I am just under 2 months on a ORD-CPH flight. It finally looks like it has gone down.
The current minimum bid is $500 for the outgoing flight. Should I jump on it or wait till it comes down in price? |
CPH -BOS 13000 Points Go to Plus Successful.
3500 DKK on BOS to CPH Go to Business Successful Single traveler on booking for both legs, which i imagine made a difference. |

I am flying ORD-ARN on SK946 on 8/17 and for the longest time the min bid was $700. It finally came down to $300 about 10 days ago. I bid $425 (medium bid) and hoping to go from Plus to Business. As of Friday, expert flyer showed 13 open seats in J. |

Where does the whole "medium" thing come into the picture? Is it after or before you bid? |
Things seem to be jumping around a bit on CPH-IAD. Two weeks ago or was minimum $300 after having been $500 for months, then this week back to $500 for PE to C on Sunday. Both are relatively iffy upgrades for me (day flight after all) but interesting to watch.

SFO-CPH J Upgrade Bid
Anyone recently bid on SFO-CPH? Interested to hear what cleared.
My flight is midweek next week and the minimum bid for J upgrade is $500. Was initially optimistic a $510 bid would clear, but expert flyer indicates there are only 4 seats left. Not sure exactly how to gauge since the flight is pretty soon, but it doesn’t seem like great odds given the limited availability. Appreciate any thoughts/experiences! |
CPH-SFO-CPH is an incredibly popular route with high demand for paid Business seats and I've seen many disappointed colleagues and people I traveled with unsuccessfully bid for upgrades even at twice the minimum. Even midweek, I would go well over the minimum bid if you really want to stand a chance, more so in the SFO->CPH direction.
SFO/LAX/HND are the routes with high demand for Business class cabins on SK. |

I tend to agree with the poster below. I’ve won them and lost them from EWR. Make sure your bid says strong. I don’t think a weak or even medium bid would cut it here with four seats left. This scenario would give you much better odds on the return from CPH as there is less demand flying that way. In saying all that, if you’re not in it you can’t win it so however you move forward, good luck!!! Stranger things have happened |

Also, my flight to Copenhagen is a 10pm flight, so I would expect a lot of people to want those lay-flat beds for an overnight flight. So strange. |

Thanks so....around 3 weeks ahead, it sounds like? Currently there are 29 business class openings on my flight. So I am optimistic that it will come down. (Knock on wood)

Okay I do have a question, which it may be answered elsewhere in the thread, so please forgive me.
Let's say the minimum bid comes down to $300......let's say you bid $450. Well, now let's say that a week later, the minimum bid bumps up to $600. Do you need to also bump up your bid to match it? In order to keep your bid strong? |
