...or not, since it's off the rewards list now.

That's what's been frustrating about this...you get a reward in sight that you're just a few points away from, then it's gone.

The "Vault" promo's are interesting...you pay Coke to buy Vault Soda. Then you pay Rewards points to advertise said soda...and about the time you'll get a little nerved at you're paying to advertise their product, you realize that a lot of the Vault stuff is tied in with some very cool ways of supporting our troops.

Free SWn tix now available!

IIRC 11,500 MCR points for 1 RT ticket. Limit 2 per acct.
But who the H*** has so many points?

A lot more then we'd think. That's 115 days of 10x 10pt code per day.

I never had many points (ran it up to 499) as 70% of my points were from caps given to me or picking up litter (they sure like tossing those things in the gutter ). Anyway I finally used some up using 24 points for a 32 oz Powerade. That I drink after I go running, as to the Coke beverage, well

That means it will take 32,000 points for a couple AND a lot of Luck just to Try to redeem for the dates/times/destinations you want ... :p

I do trust you mean October. Have seen a lot of contests added, just not interested in them. Hope if they put good things in, that the point levels aren't raised (to much).

Well, here we are fast approaching OCTOBER-NOVEMBER-DECEMBER
the last calendar quarter of the year.... just 3 months left before the MCR program hits the dust -- OR will they let you rollover points into 2009 ?

So far I haven't seen anything really new except Southwest gift card -- which is now out of stock ... few of the SWA RT voucher certificates are still available for 16,000 (good only for 1 person) AND they are NON-TRANSFERABLE to anyone else so you can't sell them on eBay (there are idiots that try to all the time) OR trade them on FT Coupon Connection either...

I dumped a bunch of points for a nice stack of Buy 1/Get 1 12-packs of Coke
coupons and another bigger stack of Rent 1 Blockbuster movie/Get 1 Free coupons ... now I've got to run out to the office supply to pick up another mountain of laser paper :D

IF the MCR program doesn't rollover to next year (as has happened every year past) -- worst scenario is that we'll give all remaining points in additional to the hundreds of points we give away to them every year -- to the US Marine Toys for Tots Christmas program as Coke matches what is collected and the toys they get make a lot of needy kids very happy.

The $25 Restaurants.com gift certificate for 280 points doesn't look bad. Other than that, a lot of junk still.

no bargain

For 280 MCR points NOT really a good deal when you can BUY DIRECT
from Restaurant.com $25 coupon for $10-

Restaurant.com has a deal that the more you buy -- the more $ you save

Buy Dinner of the Month Club
Save 60% or more...

3 months -- you get 3 $25 certificates PLUS a FREE $10 certificate = $30

6 months -- you get 6 $25 certificates PLUS a FREE $25 certificate = $60

12 months- you get 12 $25 certificates PLUS a FREE $50certificate = $120

versus:

280 points is 93-1/3 caps (figure if you bought a 20 oz bottle of coke
for $1 on the average that's $93.3333 to buy a coupon you can
get for $10

and IF you spent $90 you would get 9 $25 certificates PLUS --
so what is the better deal?

Better to save up the points for something more thrilling -- you'll cry
later on when they put up those travel awards we'll all waiting for....
and you don't have enough points.

bigricky4 Sep 24, 2008 3:56 pm

And don't you have to buy like $35 worth of food to use them, or certain nights, no take outs, and other restrictions with the restaurant.com certificates?
