O.K. WOW how much does this suck! Glad to see that MCR isn't just sucking for us loyal customers but for Coke employee's also!

two things

1. Is anyone surprised that coke would do this? I surely think not

2. Why he would take a chance and use his real name and address also baffles me? I know they told him (employees) to do this but still, to trust coke is not something I'd have at the top of my list of places I'd trust

Powerade sale

Here's what I found this past weekend. I kept forgetting to post this

Powerade 32 oz bottles with the three point caps were on sale at Safeway for .88 cents per bottle. But the real deal is a "Buy 5 get $2 off coupon" that was on each bottle. So I bought five and paid $2.40 for five bottles plus 15 MCR points in caps.

For those of you in the DC area, the Giant has these same Powerade bottles on their everyday low price of .80 cents each. Since the above coupon is a mfg coupon, it works at giant. So now I'm buying five for $2.00 which at .40 per bottle, gives me a 3 point cap.

Even when they have the 12 packs of coke on sale for $2.00 each, this is still a better deal whereby you get 50% more points.

Just thought I'd share.

Needless to say I have a bunch of those coupons and luckily I drink Powerade anyway.

Are some rewards going away? These days I am just redeeming for free Coke 16oz bottles. On the reward page for the Coke category I saw a header "4 Days left". It is on the bottom above the 240 point Coke 12 pack

Nothing Above 3600 Mcr Point Left

The Coke MCR program seems to be fading into history FAST . . .
lucky my kids got all the goodies they wanted way before now.

Of course there's always the electronic-entry sweepstakes
(IF you dare put much faith or hope in winning the thing...)

For those who still have unused Coke product MCR points left--
here's a condensed tally of stuff you might be interested in,
(other than the usual Coke hats and other pure trash and junk.)

4 days only left to redeem 240 MCR points (used to be 100 MCR points)
for free (value up to $5.04 plus you pay deposit & any tax) coupon
for Coke, Sprite, Fanta, Fresca & Vault and Pibb...

Sure NOT worth the exchange rate of MCR points for item!
MUST be talking to and taking DL Revenue Management lessons :D

$1 Off Coupon for 12 pack of coke product = 35 points

Blockbuster Rent One Movie Get One Free Movie rental = 70 MCR points

Sundy magazine subscriptions available ranging from 100 to about 170 pts

Coke 12-pack cooler = 425 MCR points

All $2, $10, and $25 Subway cards are GONE.

All DL Skymiles redemption codes are HISTORY.

Pizza Hut pizza deals are GONE.

The majority of anything of decent interest and or real value is GONE.

Of course now we come to three of the super-duper "top rewards"
left --

Coke 30 " Plush Polar Bear = 2,000 MCR points

AVIS 1 day Mid-size rental = 2,480 MCR points

and the one you guys realy, really, really WANT :D

Pirates of Caribbean Jacket for 2,900 MCR points ! :p

WISH THEY STILL BOTTLED MOXIE !

Please God, no. I hope this is a vicious rumour.:td:

I've got 1200 MCR points I'm trying to unload, started collecting when Hilton was part of the scheme and just kept putting my codes in once they went away. I'm at the stage where I could get something worthwhile but all the current partners are unappealing or the better things are way over priced. Last thing I'm after is a lousy new partner like Darden 'owner of all shonky chain joints' Restaurants

Sun Country Airlines (suncountry.com) - in stock.

300 MCR points = 10 UFLY points (limit 3) == Note that 100 pts = r/t U.S.
They also have first class upgrades for 2000 MCR points in the U.S. 48 states or 2500 MCR points to include Canada/Mexico/Alaska.

FREE Coke 12-packs are back and in stock!! -- 240 MCR points each rather than 100 points, but still FREE COKE 12-Packs are back!

NOT FREE -- you still have to pay the deposit and taxes AND any excess over the $5.04 value of the coupon.

Further, if you stop to figure the cents/per MCR point you will see clearly
(or should realize) this is NOT such a bargain deal for the number of MCR
points required.

as for Sun Country air points -- THAT's the next thing travel to go bye-bye as swill-bucket greedy clowns start eBay selling those too.

LastSurvivor Aug 19, 2008 8:21 am

Subway cards all over eBay. The $25 cards are bringing about $22. Not bad I guess. I took the rewards for 2 $10 cards but I'm planning on using them myself coupled with a Kroger coupon for buy one sub get one free. Maybe I should have picked up some of the $25 cards and also sold them on eBay.

Did they disappear already? I can't find them. :(

That's Why There's No More Skymile rewards on MCR

THAT is just the sort of mentality that has caused DL to pressure Coke
into discontinung the redemption codes for DL Skymiles, and also reason
WHY coke has place restrictions and limits to the number of the same
reward one can get with their MCR points.

WHY would I want to BUY a $25 Subway card on eBay and pay seller
$22 and eBay fees?

Boston_Bulldog Aug 21, 2008 9:39 pm

Sun Crap junk airlines

They disappeared the same first day you read about them here in this thread...

And who cares anyhow as this is just a junk airline with limited destination service -- primarily allmost like a charter flight going to yo-yo land because a bunch of yo-yos want to go to the same places all clones go to.

Buyers on eBay don't pay those eBay fees. Sellers do. ;)

Totally theoretical question here.:p

So tomorrow I'm moving back to school, which is about 200 miles away. I've been entering MCR codes from here all along, and have always been going for the PC rewards. I've used the three 500 point rewards and since the 2,000 point rewards are gone, there's nothing particularly attractive for me anymore.

I know the MCR police is pretty strict, but if I register and enter codes up there (in theory, of course), wouldn't it be pretty safe?

Any thoughts (theoretical, of course) would be appreciated.:)
