I don't know of a way to get around it, nor would I try. But, I was fortunate to submit mcr for a whole lot of pc points before they instituted the limits.

I'm curious WHAT QUANTITY you call "a whole lot" -- 10,000? 30,000? 50,000? 100,000? more? :D |
number of points

My husband got it, too - I believe the fine print listed the date they would be applied. It definitely wasn't instantly, and I think it was the end of Sept. Anyone still have the email?

The restriction placed on the 3 -500 points + 3-2000 points previously offered total only 7,500 Can't get much with that -- even 2500 points short of redeeming for 2,000 airmiles... considering 10,000 pc points= 2,000 airmiles.... NOT worth the trade or the bother. Rental for a Lamborghini Gallardo will cost you 475,000 PC points  |

yes its a bummer that the pc points have a limit of 3-500 and 3-2000 = 7500 pc points per person...
however i'll bet there are those who have figured a way around the restriction and got more... comments? |

I'm not familiar with the PC reward timeline. I take it that this must have been more than 3 months ago, and that you have been sitting on 0 points for a while.

I got this too. I even entered them in and got an email saying I was receiving 20 bonus points. That was on Friday or Saturday. How long before they show up in your account? Or are they scamming me?

YES -- WE ALL KNOW that the gaming IS afoot but not talked about

Not many responses to your phishing/trolling comments I see and there is a good reason for that as well
My take on it is a neutral position -- that is, live and let live -- IF someone has figured out a workaround, then good for them...IF they can get away doing so. I'm not responsible for someone else's ethics. With the advent of not adding any really good rewards for some while now, and either restricting rewards, eliminating others, and raising up the MCR points on things indiscrimately, they probably deserve for folk to try to game their systems if they can. I'm just wondering if the Coke MCR program will continue again in 2009 after the current promotion expires the end of this year, or if it will be diluted like the Pepsi and Mountain Dew promotions to pure JUNK and sweepstake chances only... it sure looks like the whole MCR thing as it is will be going away bye-bye or else replaced by something else since they don't seem to be putting sny really valuable items up bi-weekly like they used to do. |
nevermind

Going, Going....
For what its worth the TOP MCR REWARD left now is
$200 Nike Gift Card for 8,000 Coke MCR points . . . |
Some MCR point reward items for your consideration
Well, it sure looks like the Coke MCR point program is fading out to a slow death as well as this forum/thread...
Things added today (Tuesday Sept 9) is: Buy 1 12-pack Coke product, Get 1 Free = 200 MCR points 50-pack Valut postcards for the USO = 150 MCR points Donations for the USO -- $5.00=100 MCR pts; $10.00=200 MCR points; $20.00=400 points Still available Blockbuster: Rent 1/Get 1 Free: Movies: 70 Games: 120 Coca-Cola: 30" Coke Bear= 2000 1 year subscription CONDE NAST TRAVELLER Magazine=120 MCR points Nike Git card: $25=1000; $50.00=2,000; $100=4,000; $200=8,000 1 year subscription Popular Mechanics magaizine=168 MCR points 1 year subscription Smart Money magazine=168 MCR points Priority Club: PC 500 points = 156 (restricted to 3 per MCR customer) The Conde Nast Traveller magazine is pretty good and does offer alot of information and ideas for that exotic or dream travel destination for your consideration and always has lots of other traveller useful information in its covers, including articles about the airline snafus and how some folk resolved their airline and travel issues, etc. Definitely worth the 168 Coke MCR points for the year's subscription. :D |
Budget Rent A Car $25 coupons are now available for 720 points. Not sure if this is new or if I just hadn't noticed before. I grabbed two.^

Watching all these devaluations, I think I might just "cash in my chips"/collect my reward, and snag one of the sling packs to use as a small carry on.

MCR points: Cash All-In Now or Hang On ?
Surprisingly still plenty of $25, $50, $100, and $200 Nike gift card rewards left and available...
The top MCR prize / reward still remains as the $200 Nike card for 8,000 MCR Supposedly there's things to be addedd as we head toward and into the last quarter of year beginning next month and closer to the Christmas holidays -- should we all just cash all-in now or wait, hold on to see what MIGHT happen even yet? I suspect as we move into the next quarter that we will see the donations for the U.S. Marine's Toys for Toys program return as an option to get rid of excess points to help the underpriviledged kids. Problem is... what about "toys" FOR US "Big Kids" :D like things of VALUE rather than junk or crap we can like toaster ovens and rice steamers that we can buy at the discount store...? While a 12-month Conde Nsast Traveller magazine subscription is nice and MIGHT BE worth the 168 MCR points to some folk, how about giving US what we want to see -- MORE TRAVEL-related items other than discount certificates for BOZO Southwest regional airline? |
