Still NOT a good deal. Advise you hang on to the points for a few weeks yet.

Go to http://restaurant.com and look what you can buy for $10- to $120
PLUS free perks

Lots of devaluation but for me, I've come ahead with over $1600 in free prizes

I guess I'm ahead of the curve. Granted, I've seen so much devaluation of points lately, but I've also scored lots of prizes through instant win (free entry method) and redeemed lots of items.

Here's are scores of my most precious items.

$1000 best buy gift card (instant win-free entry method)
$100 sprite VISA gift card (instant win-free entry method)
$100 sprite VISA gift card (second instant win-free method entry)
4 free tickets to six flag (instant win-free entry method)
2-$25 gift card for budget rent a car (redeemed 625 points each)
1-$25 gift card to shopAdidas (redeemed 625 points)
12-free video rentals at blockbuster (36 initially, 45 later)
3-$25 gift certificate for Hilton Restaurant groups (lots of steak for only 200 points)
4 inch cocacola bear plush for (71 points)
$25 Visa virtual gift card (redeemed 625 points)
$10 certificate for NCAAsports.com (instant win)
$24 gift card for loews theater (instant win)
Adidas Sports Towel (redeemed 97 points)
$10 Subway gift card (redeemed 270 points)
7 20oz Beverages (redeemed 24 points)

Seeing devaluation from the $25 gift card of Hilton Restaurant group at only 200 points to $10 Subway gift card at 270 points had been painful, but in reality, with over $1600 in prizes I wouldn't have had if mycokerewards wasn't here, I think I've come way ahead.

PS-I do think Mycokerewards will end at the end of this year though....due to three years of liability created by the existing points. Seeing there's nothing I really want nowadays, I've been resorting to spending my points now on sweepstakes. Maybe one more lucky win before it's all over?!

I can't guarantee it will be around next year, but I do know someone who works for Coke in their marketing department. They've already booked a bunch of promotions for next year. Like I said, no guarantee, but it looks like 2009 will exist in some format.

Congratulations.

We too got plenty of goodies but it's far better not to advertise.

I still believe that there'll be goodies coming in the next promotions other
than just needle in the haystack sweepstakes.

I sure hope so. I also have been entering a few sweepstakes for lack of anything interesting to get with my points. I've been doing the pepsi points as well, and actually get stuff.

I'm with you...I've been slowly adding points. Never have bought one thing yet. I would consider doing the sweepstakes except....I never win. So I'm sitting on 4,000 points and counting...just hoping something decent gets added soon.

"Instant win-free entry method"...what is this? I'm not familiar with it?

tomcsa Sep 26, 2008 10:16 am

The initial MCR program was to expire at the end of last year, but they extended it. It wouldn't surprise me as the year comes to an end the program would be terminated as well. If there are attractive awards I think cashing in is not a bad idea.

i got to 627 points the week AFTER they ran out of 2k priority club rewards

if that reward is not renewed by christmas time

i will get teddy bears for a homeless shelter as well as Toys for Tots donations and be finished with the program

I figured Coke just writes this off as their own donation. So you're basically just giving Coke your points. Is that not the case?

is there a contact address for mcr for redemption problems?

I looked on my account and there wasn't at least as far as I could see a contact us link

I thought I had seen one but don't recall where it was. Try Google, I usually can find anything there. :-)

Majority of the "Instant Win" promo featured in mycokerewards thus far, has had a back entrance. Essentially, click on the instant win icon you want to enter, then click on the official rules. Inside the fine print of the official rule, there is a highlighted icon which says "click here" for alternative method or free entry. It then prompted you to type in a randomly displayed code, and you get a free entry with an accompanied instant win message. It allowed you to enter for free 20 times daily this way without any entry of coke codes.

Currently though, there is no instant win contests. This might change for a possible Xbox promo launching next month.

At the bottom of the screen, in the world's smallest type, you'll see a "Help" link. Click on that, then General Questions>How Can I Contact You?>Contact Us.

The phone number (found via an entirely different set of links) is 866-674-2653.

You don't think they intentionally made it difficult to find this information, do you?:D

Thank you so much for this succinct answer. Since I have joined the fray in the past month, my balance is paltry but it is still good to know what to get and how to get it. I can only hope that the program survives another year. Thanks
