Well, I did a little snooping online and found that you could log into the site without registering just by typing "demo" in the username and password fields. Just for fun I checked hotel availability on their site. You enter the location and dates you want, and the site then presents you with available hotels. I put in Pigeon Forge, TN the Friday and Saturday after Christmas. One of the options it gave me was a Best Western with a total tab of about $295 -- even after the $50 gift card was applied. Checking availability at the same hotel directly from the Best Western website show a total tab of about $180 for the same type of room on these dates.

My conclusion: this is a sucker bet and a waste of mycoke reward points. I just wish they would offer Delta Skymiles or HHonors points again!

There's a lot of these sucker things around... even trading PC points for airmiles ... 10,000 PC points = 2,000 airmiles, for example.

Or the current offer of a $250 Southwest gift card for 10,000 MCR points...

Subway gift cards are back!

Just a quick FYI - Subway gift cards are back for anyone sitting on points and looking for something of value. The $10 card for 280 points, is a slightly better deal than the $25 card. Hope this helps someone burn off some of their points.

Thanks for posting! I was able to grab one more and then got a message that I am not eligible for any more. Guess there is a limit on how many I can get. I got a couple of these last time they were available.

There is a limit of 1 on the $10 Subway cards and limit of 2 on the $25 Subway cards.

The limits are a real frustrating hurdle. I finally used points to get tickets to Dollywood since the park is close by and we like to do a Christmas season family thing--this was perfect. Only problem is they will only let me redeem one time so I got 2 tickets for 1500 points. Wonder if anyone would consider doing a swap. You purchase another pair of tickets for 1500 points and send them to me and I purchase something you want but have met the limit in the same range. I would even go slightly higher in points for you...2000? Is that violating any board rules? Just curious.

Something that is sort of frustrating with the redemption. I have a subway card (which is both a gift card and a point tracker ... the points replace the old subway stamps) so I want the $10 on my current card, so I can count the points from it. They won't let me add the $10 on to my current card, but insist on wasting postage to mail me a new one. I hope I can combine them after the fact ...... but this little negative is small compared to the positive of having something real and useful to redeem MCR points for.

It helps to check the T&Cs... from the My Subway Cash Card website:

Can cash balances from two cards be combined onto one card?

If you have more than one SUBWAY® Card with cash loaded on them, you can merge the balances from one Card to the other, provided that all cards have been registered under the same profile at www.mysubwaycard.com, and provided you are merging two or more of the same card type (example: Cash Card to Cash Card, not Cash Card to Rewards Card or vice versa).

If anyone is interested in working out a deal for swapping MCR offers (1500-2500 pts) so you can get something you can't get due to limitations let me know...

MCR Extended through 2009

It's Official. The MCR promotion has been extended through Dec 31, 2009. To see it on the Coke site: click on “Help“, then on the “Topics & Questions” list (left pane), the LAST item on the bottom (last time I looked) is “2009 My Coke Rewards Program Extension”; click that, and you will see the “Details” in the right-side pane.
