Hey I'm new to the site but finally found an active thread on discussing coke points and rewards hooray! Anyways...I just signed up for a new AA account using the MCR link and got 1000 free points is that what everyone is referring to?

What is the best reward that anyone has obtained through MCR that is still available or no longer available? Mine would have to be the 80 point Blockbuster Free Game Rentals that are gone now. I probably rented like 10 games using these. Wish they were still around the 120 point rent-1-get-1 is lame.

MCR now is offering 1000 AA miles for 0 MCR points--but to new AA members only. Time to invite all your non-FT friends & relatives to join AAdvantage.

Brendan is right. 1,000 AAdvantage miles for 0 MCR points -- BUT there's a CATCH! It's only for NEW AAdvantage members enrolling between December 1, 2008 and February 28, 2008 using promo code MCR09.

Further reading the fine-print there's some interesting stuff which I am sure that ALL other major airlines like Delta, United, and Continental, no doubt will implement as AA is doing ---

especially these disclaimers:

"American Airlines reserves the right to change AAdvantage rules, regulations, travel awards and special offers AT ANY TIME WITHOUT NOTICE and to END THE Aadvantage program with SIX MONTHS NOTICE."

WORST yet,--

The $25 and $50 Restaurant gift cards you can buy cheaper from the http://restaurants.com website for less than what it would cost you in time and effort posting for MCR points.

Bottom line: Most of the average MCR rewards have been greatly DEVALUED.

case in poiont: Used to be 100 MCR points for a "FREE" 12-pack of Coke product; now it's 200 MCR points for a Buy One, Get One coupon...

Case in counterpoint: Actually, the B1G1F Q is far more valuable because 1) you can print two of them per redemption (the Free Q is snail mailed -- boo!) and 2) Coke products are constantly on sale B1G1F ... or better! Example, this weekend at Safeway it's B2G3F on 12-packs. So a single 200 point redemption yields 2 B1G1F Qs, which when combined with the sale price nets five 12-packs for FREE.

I decided to empty out an MCR account last month, so got about 30 20oz. Coke vouchers. I don't know what I was thinking, but I guess I didn't originally realize they'd be limited to one per purchase. Has anyone tried using multiple vouchers at the same time, maybe processing each as a separate transaction, or do I really have to go to the supermarket 30 times?

Some chain grioceries won't allow either multiple coupons/vouchers for the same transaction, or allow use for "on sale" items, so sometimes your strategy won't work, BUT worth trying.
