Sorry TJ, AA "points" just isn't going to happen. :( Blames the greedy spoilers who sold DL skymile MCR codes on eBay. These greedy pigs are also the REASON for MCR quantity restrictions for PC points among other MCR quantity restrictions.:p Best that you will now and in the future see is non-transferable sweepstakes-trips offered similar to the current SWA offerings.:td: |
then why the AA ad where they usually put the promo sponsors?

What is the best reward that anyone has obtained through MCR that is still available or no longer available? Mine would have to be the 80 point Blockbuster Free Game Rentals that are gone now. I probably rented like 10 games using these. Wish they were still around the 120 point rent-1-get-1 is lame. |

MCR now is offering 1000 AA miles for 0 MCR points--but to new AA members only. Time to invite all your non-FT friends & relatives to join AAdvantage.

Further reading the fine-print there's some interesting stuff which I am sure that ALL other major airlines like Delta, United, and Continental, no doubt will implement as AA is doing --- especially these disclaimers: "American Airlines reserves the right to change AAdvantage rules, regulations, travel awards and special offers AT ANY TIME WITHOUT NOTICE and to END THE Aadvantage program with SIX MONTHS NOTICE." WORST yet,-- "Members may NOT be able to obtain all offered awards at all times or use awards for all destinations or on all flights." Even the $25 and $50 Hotel gift cards you see isn't worth the effort as it is only valid for $25 or $50 off your two day stay. The $25 and $50 Restaurant gift cards you can buy cheaper from the http://restaurants.com website for less than what it would cost you in time and effort posting for MCR points. Bottom line: Most of the average MCR rewards have been greatly DEVALUED. case in poiont: Used to be 100 MCR points for a "FREE" 12-pack of Coke product; now it's 200 MCR points for a Buy One, Get One coupon... |
i doubt they allow it for this but does AA combine accounts?

I decided to empty out an MCR account last month, so got about 30 20oz. Coke vouchers. I don't know what I was thinking, but I guess I didn't originally realize they'd be limited to one per purchase. Has anyone tried using multiple vouchers at the same time, maybe processing each as a separate transaction, or do I really have to go to the supermarket 30 times?

Does anyone know if the Omaha Steaks reward is given in a gift card/code that is sent to your home (and therefore, not available for immediate use) or is it a code that they send to you immediately (much like the Delta rewards were) so that I can use it on a purchase today? Looking to use it towards a gift for the in-laws.
Finally got an email from mycokerewards.com (after a week) that the Omaha Steak $20 discount (560 points) comes in an immediate email code. I used it towards a gift for my in-laws: Perfect Gift 7741KGD 4 (5 oz.) Top Sirloins 4 (4 oz.) Boneless Pork Chops 4 (4 oz. approx.) Boneless Chicken Breasts 2 (4.5 oz.) Stuffed Sole with Scallops & Crabmeat 8 (3 oz.) Gourmet Franks 4 (5.75 oz.) Stuffed Baked Potatoes 12 free Burgers Reg. $154.00 | Now Only $49.99 Shipping is close to $20 but with the Coke code discount of $20 my total for the food was $46.98. Not a bad deal at all if you have someone on your gift list who could use a weeks worth of meals. ^ Only bad thing was that the special could not be ordered thru AA or DL shopping so I didn't get miles for the purchase. |

Try redeeming 2 and then put it in your car and go back for the other 28 if you have no gremlins. Good luck ^ |

Nonsense.
Case in counterpoint: Actually, the B1G1F Q is far more valuable because 1) you can print two of them per redemption (the Free Q is snail mailed -- boo!) and 2) Coke products are constantly on sale B1G1F ... or better! Example, this weekend at Safeway it's B2G3F on 12-packs. So a single 200 point redemption yields 2 B1G1F Qs, which when combined with the sale price nets five 12-packs for FREE. |
