I agree.

Double Points for "Vault" codes

Per the MyCokeRewards web site, all codes from 12 packs of "Vault" energy drink will be doubled if entered on Veteran's Day (Tuesday, November 11th).

I have no idea what the correlation is between an energy drink and honoring our veterans, but whatever. If you happen to have a flap for this laying around, you'll want to wait until Tuesday to enter in the code.

The military has used a lot of caffeine over the years. I wish they had these newer energy drinks when I was in.

Coke has been using Vault for tie-ins with the military in general for some time. It's a natural extension to use it for Veterans Day. What the initial connection was, I have no idea.

I have 1800+ MCR points. Since they have not brought back the "good" awards, I intend to use 'em all for about $90--95 in USO donations on Veterans' Day! Probably better than 6K PC points which = ~$60 of Holiday Inn room for myself.

Re: #2460 JoeBagodonuts: Some FTer way above in this thread got into trouble by opening too many acct.s to "get around the limit."

7500 points aren't worth doggie-poo by itself

weren't those 2000 point certs or did I miss the 1500 pt ones?

they were 500 points times 3 = 1500
and in addition to the restriction of 3 500 pointers,
you could get 3 of the 2,000 pointers for another 6,000 pc points
for a total of 7,500 pc points per user. :p

as for any kind of "workaround" -- well, not much you can say for SOME folk's integrity, honesty or ethics ...

Getting into trouble as in having their accounts closed, or....?:)

kind of like the ethics of MCR for their retroactive changes on these rules

care to expand as to what the repercussions were?

Sorry, Lucky & TH, I don't remember the details. I think s/he was found to have 4 acct.s, which were probably all closed down.

Happy Veterans' Day!
I have just donated $80 to the USO with 1600 Coke points! Our GIs need $80 more than I need ~$50 of free Holiday Inn room!

Is anyone familiar with "myhotelgiftcard.com"

I just saw a new option on mycokerewards -- a $50.00 gift card that supposedly can be used at a wide variety of hotels (minimum 2 night stay). There was a link to the site of the organization providing the card -- myhotelgiftcard.com -- but it required registration before you could enter to get more information, which I declined to do for now. I was wondering if anyone has had any experience with this organization -- good or bad.

The recipient of this offer is entitled to apply the $50 value of the Gift Card towards the purchase of a hotel/condo stay at any of the hotels/condos listed at www.myhotelgiftcard.com. The purchase must be for a minimum 2 consecutive night stay. The balance of charges after the Gift Card is applied must be paid with a major credit card in the name of the traveler. All reservations must be made through www.myhotelgiftcard.com. The value on the Gift Card will be applied to the same rate obtained when calling the hotel/condo directly, Guaranteed: If you find a lower rate at the time of booking on the website listed above, we will adjust the price to the lower price and add another $50 value onto your Gift Card for a future reservation. No refunds shall be provided for any unused portion of this Gift Card. The value loaded on this Gift Card has no cash surrender value. This Gift Card, once activated, is not transferable. Reservations are based on availability and are limited to what appears on the designated website at the time of booking. This Gift Card expires two (2) years from date of activation. More about Myhotelgiftcard.com

Well, I did a little snooping online and found that you could log into the site without registering just by typing "demo" in the username and password fields. Just for fun I checked hotel availability on their site. You enter the location and dates you want, and the site then presents you with available hotels. I put in Pigeon Forge, TN the Friday and Saturday after Christmas. One of the options it gave me was a Best Western with a total tab of about $295 -- even after the $50 gift card was applied. Checking availability at the same hotel directly from the Best Western website show a total tab of about $180 for the same type of room on these dates.

My conclusion: this is a sucker bet and a waste of mycoke reward points. I just wish they would offer Delta Skymiles or HHonors points again!
