or a big concert scalper...I get the idea, but selling a 100 of these things cant be easy. Why would someone pay $30 a head when they can buy them for $10?...are there that many uninformed concert goers out there? Live nation sends me e-mails all the time for these offers but they are mostly for bands nobody wants to see anyway, hence the discount.
$10 covers the ticket but handling and shipping fees are extra, and there has to be times when you get stuck with a bunch of out of state tickets that nobody wants, but I give you credit for thinking up a way to cash in....good job

What Yanxfan did or does may not be everybody's cup of tea. But that doesn't mean its not worth it.

If he has knowledge to get the right ones and have been successfully doing it. Nothing bad in it.

People get creative to earn miles, points and money.

More complicated the idea , lesser people jumping on it. More chances of gamble paying off if you know how to play your cards.

Goodluck Yanxfan.

No way would I waste approx 600 MCR points on a 2K PCR voucher (remember 2K points can instead be bought from PC for only $12) when I could use those same 600 MCR points to get six $10 Live Nation codes for 6 free concert tickets which can easily be sold resulting in $60+ cash in our pockets.

I go to zero Live Nation concerts per year. So No way would I waste 100 points on a code when I can easily get PC points which is $150-250 cash in my pocket per 1600 MCR points. 1600 MCR points = 5000 PC points = 1 pointsaver award = 1 hotel room @ $150-250 per night. So that's .09 - .15 per MCR point, compared with your .10 valuation on Live Nation codes. Without the hassle of running ebay auctions, fees, etc.

That being said I think it is great that you use MCR for LN codes and I hope more people follow your lead as that means more inventory of PCR vouchers for the rest of us

That's true, although I was never able to find any PointSaver Award location locally or internationally that would make any sense to me to book.

I too go to zero Live Nations concerts per year.

That same 1600 MCR points in Live Nation codes into (at least) $160 cash, that $160 could then be used to purchase 26,667 PC points directly from Priority Club, which in turn could be used for 5 Pointsaver rewards (with almost 2K points left over). So that's .45 - .75 per MCR point, comparing to your .09 - .15 valuation ($750 to $1250 based on your $150 - $250 per nite valuation). And if you haven't tried selling on StubHub you might want to consider giving it a try, it's incredibly easy.

I have a young teenager that recently completed a summer work study program at their school, while there one of the janitors asked them to give him a hand. About ten minutes later they finished the task and to show his gratitude the janitor gave my guy this stash of codes from MCR-affiliated 12-packs, in all there were 347 of them.

just curious, I presume the janitor collected them to either trade or use on mcr products and how did he know your kid collected them or did they fight for them in the trash LOL

If you work in a large office or office complex or the like,
(especially if you're involved in government or a university) --
you'll be very surprised WHAT gets trashed.

It's ea$y to make a "deal" with facilities personnel to keep "an eye out"
for this sort of stuff, in exchange for a little $cratch or something as
simple as treating to a case of beer....:D
