True, but that's a sweepstakes that has to go to conclusion. Even if Delta is changing the terms of its involvement with MCR, they couldn't just shut down the sweepstakes before awarding the prize. The sweepstakes ends next week, after which it looks like there will be nothing Delta on MCR unless new items are added.

I would feel better about the current lack of prizes if the Delta brand was still being featured prominently on the site.

If Delta does bail out after the promos end this month.... Has anyone seen or heard something (rumor or otherwise) whether MCP will replace with another airline or hotel chain??? Still entering points with little to exchange if the travel section loses ff miles or hotel points.

I still see mention of Delta in the lower right hand corner.

You're right. I saw it for the first time since my post, in the lower right corner of the big red box, as part of the changing quartet of ads for various companies.

Where it is still missing, however, is at the bottom of the page, where the logos for the seven companies I mentioned are unchanging, and where the Delta logo used to reside.

So we know Delta still has a featured presence, but at the moment, it is less prominent than it has been since the program was introduced.

I'll put myself in the cautiously optimistic camp...

man if DL comes back with awards, they will be drained as fast as people can redeem.. I for one will empty my account on them as I don't use DL but at least I can trade the certs for something I can use, now I'm at the point where I will input till I make my next set of transactions where I can drain my account and be done with this fiasco.

the question is do the DL awards (if they ever come back) last longer than 24 hours.. the over under is more like 16 hours LOL

16 hours! I don't think so. TrojanH, you'll drain the whole amount within 4 hours!:D

Anyone want to guess if we'll see a return of Priority Club points?

Guess > probably not but then again what do I know.. I would prefer these over DL miles though, thats for sure

I wonder if the $25 Budget gift cert can be used with the 5,000 miles per rental offer from Delta. Converting 1,250 points to 5,000 miles would be pretty sweet (edit, oops, no can do ... one cert per rental). Or use 625 points to lower the cost-per-mile by offsetting most of the cost of a low-end rental.

Edit to add:
See also another Delta promo, in which njupintheair suggests the Budget cert may benefit, assuming one has registered for it:

Has this reward program "Jumped the Shark"?

It doesn't seem to me that the rewards available are getting progressively better in terms of number and value. Quite the opposite is happening (IMHO). The rewards are less in number and more costly.

Another good question:

How long can this MCR program go on in its current state? Doesn't seem to be doing anything exciting for me lately. I am left wondering if Coke is willing to keep the program growing/innovating to keep pace with the number (billions) of codes being released in to the market?

I think the answer is in the perspective of the beholder.
From the perspective of what this program was in 2006 and much of 2007, it is weak.
From the perspective of someone who wants miles and points, it is weak.
However, compared with the new Pepsi Stuff program, Coke is pretty much in line with its biggest competitor.

On MCR's Website re: the $25 cert., it says to use Discount Code Y839200. If this is a BCD#, maybe. If this is a coupon #, no way!

Try to enter this instead of the DL BCD # U093300 to test compatibility with the Coupon # MUAZ124 of the DL 5K.

Unfortunately, my answer would have to be yes. Most of the remaining awards are just lame, and over priced as far as points go. My guess is that the program will stick around for a while longer since Pepsi has started their rewards program (which appears to be even more lame than MCR).

there some 24 packs of coke with 50 points its stated on the pack celebrate 50 years on racing and get 50 mcr points they are everywhere
