Hert's computers generally will rate you at whatever is cheaper, your reserved rate or the adjusted rate. With a copy of your reservation in hand, the return counter can fix anything too out of whack.

Our alamo.com reservation system is currently experiencing high volume. We value your business and would appreciate your calling Alamo Rent A Car directly to make a reservation. Please call 1-800-GO-ALAMO(1-800-462-5266) so that we may complete your reservation.

Due to this inconvenience, we would like to offer you $20 off your reservation. Please request Coupon Code: AWEBCPN027.

To receive $20 off, reservations require a 5-day minimum, 28-day maximum rental period for Compact through Luxury car, Minivan, SUV or Convertible. Coupon is valid only at participating U.S. locations. One coupon per reservation and may not be combined with other discounts.

For calls originating outside North America, dial 1-801-533-4441.

To add, here's a website I often use for finding discounts which in the past has helped save me a lot of money on past Alamo car rentals. www.momsview.com/alamo.shtml

Also, http://www.carrentalsavers.com/alamo.html has great codes.

Here's the deal from the Alamo website from the Working Advantage program:

Hope all these code are able to help someone on their travels.
I got a good deal for a Thursday thru Monday rental by combining WKADVANT and coupon code AD5691JDV. Hopefully that won't ask for the coupon because there's no way to print it from the site.

Combining the two codes WKADVANT and AD5691JDV produced a rate $50 more expensive for me on a 4 day rental than just using AD5691JDV by itself. I would try it both ways before I booked it.

I remember reading that AD5691JDV is for quicksilver. Is there anything I should do besides sign up for quicksilver? I don't need to produce a coupon, do I?

Thanks!

weekly rental

Hi everyone,
i just used the this Contract ID 667719P2 for a week in SFO for a Fullsize SUV,
it includes all insurance and upfront fuel for 495$. Regular rate without insurance was 1095$. Don't know if its only good for weekly, but is a great deal if you need or want insurance.

And with this contract all car categories were able to be reserved, even they were not available with most other contracts.

Addition:
Just tried 667719P8 is another 50$ cheaper

Alamo 7014777 AD8863FJA (Entertainment Book) offers a $144 discount for a Raleigh, NC rental. It's only a 10% off coupon, but ID 7014777 kicks in a much $94 lower rate before the AD8863FJA coupon.

5/12/10-5/21/10 (9 day rental) RDU is $279.09 + tax/fees = $355.93.

The Alamo coupon activates a 185.03 (143.91/wk+20.56/day) rate - 20.56 coupon = 164.47 + taxes/feees = $211.57.

P.S. It's still higher than the $197.75 Thrifty rate (116.77/week + $18.89/day) that I reserved a few weeks ago, so won't help me, but perhaps it will help someone else.

----------------
In comparison, the other Entertainment Book car coupons save $30-40 on a 9-day rental. Here's what I've tried.

Thrifty $339
Dollar $339
Enterprise $344.05 -> ENT10WG $310.07 (Save -$33.95)
Budget $349.71 -> X443000 MUGZ366 $315.53 (Save -$34.18)
Alamo $355.93 -> ID 7014777, Coupon AD8863FJA $211.57 (Save -$144.36)
National $369
Avis $383.35 -> B790000 $345.95 (Save -$37.40)
Hertz $388

Got a great rate using this as well for a Full Size SUV at RSW ( Ft. Meyers)...about half the usual rate elsewhere, including insurance.

Are there affiliations needed in order to use this rate? what is it?

Thanks.

Premium pick up $161 wk a.i.

For DEN 6/1-6/8, used Costco ID# 7015309 and coupon #AD8221SDF for $106 base rate ++=$161 a.i. for a Chevy Silverado or similar for a week. The taxes are done at pre-discount levels, which is too bad.

This code in the "I.D./Corp I.D." field of an Alamo reservation page gives 20% off and can be used in combination with the $25 off coupon code above.
