Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

Just another data point. I flew Qsuites again yesterday from IAD to DOH. I was told on the phone (QR Plat line) that J was completely sold out, even for revenue. At the airport, I showed up 3 hours before flight time and there were two seats available. Used Qmiles+ cash. Snagged a window seat. I am now convinced that I like this seat way better than the A350 seats.

As far as I know only the first 777 (A7-BED) that was retrofitted with QSuites didn't have wifi installed, all the following ones do.

As a follow up to my previous post, I did end up going to DOH and tried the QSuite. Picked a rear-facing window. It's a fantastic seat, but I did find it a little claustrophobic and can see where others are coming from when saying so. Total privacy comes at the price of losing the sense of airy spaciousness on other aircrafts. I love the older QR 777s (particularly for sleeping, as legs are not constricted into a hole). I'd say that I liked it very much but did not love it. Nevertheless, it is yet another excellent product by QR. The only seats that I wholeheartedly dislike are the ones on their A330 fleet.

Interesting to note some differences on the QSuites-equipped planes. As I reported in another thread, wifi connectivity was free, unlimited and unusually fast. Also, there are some small touches like the snack platter and the little faux decorative candle used for dinner service.

The tech was probably installed during the retrofit but not yet certified.

The wifi was enabled on my flight but I couldn't log on to the system unfortunately. A7-BEO. Tried many times. I didn't ask the attendant.

QR007 DOH-LHR early June has changed from a QSuite B777 to an A350-900.

Very disappointed as it was to be my first QSuite flight, but not the biggest shock in the world I suppose.
