Qatar have confirmed the presence of a policy whereby if a customer booked a QSuites flight and subsequently gets an aircraft type swap can you request travel on an alternative flight, subject to availability, see post #2709 Previously this included change of routing, now it only includes changing the date on the same routing. QR issued tickets only!
Qatar Airways confirms new business class seat

A video of the new Q Suite can be seen here - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yhZDsctiZg

Photos of the new Q Suite can be seen here - http://www.flyertalk.com/forum/28007634-post109.html

From TGFlyerGirl:
there are some quite complex rules entries around seat selection - but in essence, solo travellers as a guideline won't be assigned QUADS (they are blocked off), and it's generally for 3/4 pax families. Once a QUAD has been broken up (out of necessity - for example with a couple in the E/F seats), then the rest of the quad is unlocked and can be filled with individual travellers.

They've also made 1A/2B last offered to allow airport flexibility to handle last minute requests. The other 18 windows and aisles are free for reservation as per the normal process.

The bassinet position is 11B/J (77W) and 8B/J (A359), reduced mobility seats are 2/4/6/9 B and J.

All A/E/F/K's are backward facing, all B,D,G,J's are forward facing. Total 20 Forward/22 Backward.

Capacity:
77W: J42/Y312
High density 77W: J24/Y388
77L: J42/Y230
35K: J46/Y281
359: J36/Y247

The The Complete Guide to the Qatar Airways Fleet already listed the plane under Q-Suite. So now 4 777 in high density with Q-Suite.
That's good news! I do wish they would just to ahead and update the remaining two - 200s that way that fleet can be a 100% Q eliminating any potential surprises.

Qatar 787-9 almost ready to go and still no word on the business class cabin? Qsuite model? Or super diamond model?

It says there is a new seat in development for the B787.. I believe the B787 is somewhat slimmer so cannot fit the QSuite in the current format.

I suspect we will hear very soon if the first aircraft is out and about and almost ready for delivery.

I have booked NYC-BKK on around February 2019 at that time Qatar said flight QR 702 will be A350-1000 (Q suite) .....
but now I just check my itinerary it says QR 702 will be 777-300ER ..... I was quite disappointed because I booked that flight because of A350-1000 Q suite. Anything I can do for this issue or I should just pray for them to change?

From the wiki:
It will (eventually) be across the fleet in B777s and A350s. There will be a new seat development for the B787s as this new seat can’t fit in the 787.

QR702 seems to be operated by 77W with Qsuites in Nov/Dec. Qsuites on 77W are more spacious than on A350, so you gain (assuming no last minute ac swap).

Check the seating chart. Many/most 77Ws are QSuite equipped, and that number is increasing.

I’m pretty sure QR701/702 has been operated with a qsuite equipped 77W continually since April with QR703/704 being the 35K that operates JFK-DOH flight. Every time I’ve taken 701/702 since the spring has been on a 77W, and a recent itinerary I just booked for January that has me on 701/702 has those flights operated by a 77W. However, no need to fret because as others have said, I find the qsuites on the 77W to be superior than those on the a350, plus there are air vents on the middle seats, and more lavs per passengers. Also, take this with a grain of salt, but from my experience, JFK seems to be on of the routes where one is all but guaranteed qsuites, though as always on Qatar, you’re never guaranteed a qsuite until you’re actually on board.

If you cross reference the recent flights HERE on Flightradar with the Wiki of QSuite aircraft it seems very stable indeed.

Is there any difference between 77L and 77W Qsuite? My flight is likely operated by a 77L instead of 77W out of HKG, so not sure if i should pick different seats.
Also, would anyone happen to know if the nice boarding pass sleeve which is given at the airport check in, is also available from the HK airport express check in?
Thanks!

Shouldn't be. All 777s have the same fuselage width and geometry (exactly circular).
