how to contact JQ ?

I am surprised you were able to call JQ ? PM me the details please ? Ask Jenny doesn't cut it.
I am 1/2 on getting a refund for an internal JQ flight which is now cancelled. Reading this thread, I guess I should be happy ?
I am not. I am shocked by the suggestion in this thread that OZ law does not apply since JQ is a Singapore-based company ? Is this valid ?
My question is as follows.............JQ is owned by Qantas. Doesn't Qantas have responsibility ?

Jetstar Asia (as per thread title) is not an Australan company , so why would Australian law apply to a foreign company that is operating in Asia?

Qantas has no responsibility

For those talking about claiming on insurance I would caveat that many policies have pandemic / epidemic exemptions, so there's a good chance you won't be covered for these circumstances.

For anything formally cancelled from an AU business you should be able to get your money back. I did on both Qantas and Virgin flights, although I had to ring up both.

So please explain what is JetStar Group - a wholly owned subsidiary of Qantas:

Is corporate law in OZ so ineffectual that company x can absolve themselves of legal responsibility by creating subsidary y ??

In that case, Australia is far from a market economy. It is more like a banana state!

Yes. It's called Corporate Veil. You can pierce it https://lawpath.com.au/blog/corporate-veil-can-pierced but trying to hack your way into a refund of two distinctly separate businesses (even if one is fully owned by another) is almost certainly an invalid argument to do so before the courts.

Corporate Veil also exist in Singapore (Singapore Air need not take on the liabilities of Scoot) and Hong Kong (Cathay Pacific need not take on the liabilities of HK Express) also.

As David Noble correctly stated, JSA is not an Australian company, though it may be owned (49%?) by an Australian entity - it acts under foreign laws.

Post 61 by Antonio8069 seems to be about JQ Australia, and is off topic for this thread:- Jetstar Asia Not Getting It [offering voucher instead of refund.
Different country -- different laws - different legal entities.

Got a third email regarding the cancellation of a booking. Still says the quickest way to get a voucher is to go to 'Manage Booking' online, when you can't.

The reason I take issue with the voucher is some of us dont even know if these airlines will still be in business... Not to mention living in America, I dont even know if Ill use JetStar Asia. I only needed to hop from SIN as a one time deal.

This is an interesting point. Has anyone had problems claiming travel insurance as they may consider this an act of god and not be covering people?

I can only imagine how much money they are out at this point from the enormous amount of claims theyre probably getting.

It will depend on the policy wording, and when the insurance was taken out/trip booked. There have been wide ranging reports here at all ends of the spectrum.
