Ditto that, I find it rather ridiculous the fuel surcharges that MH charges for award tickets. I wonder if they are the same charges for their own program? As far as I know, when I tried to redeem a C-class ticket with my Delta and KLM miles, they wanted nearly 300 USD for one way! This is rather steep in my opinion as with that price I could buy a return in economy for that price. Therefore even with AA or BA miles I think they will still be charging these exorbitant prices.

I really hope that they will revisit their charges after joining OW. I doubt that though.

Cheers!

Just look at QF for high fuel surcharges on award bookings!
However it is not the operating airline that dictates what the charges are for award bookings but it is the FFP, eg AAdvantage points redemption will use AA charges on MH flights NOT MH Enrich charges.

Not necessarily true. Usually, the operating airlines decides how much to charge, but the FFP programme decides whether to charge it or not.

The MH fuel surcharges on DL awards are really crazy. I had to pay ~$700 for NRT-KUL-SYD-KUL-HKG in J. I really hope AA doesn't charge them so I can cancel my DL award and rebook it using AA miles.

On Feb 1 will MH flights be available as part of a RTW itinerary?

Incorrect.
QFF members can earn points on any JQ flight where they buy the Plus/Max bundle add-ons on a JQ code. The quoted part applies to qantas codeshares and xonex only.

SQ KrisFlyer members can't earn on Scoot at all.

If MH joins on 01FEB2013 as planned then yes. Whether existing TKT can now be changed to include MH would be much more complicated and depend on what is written in the endorsement box.

Generally not...
The rules governing any *ONE* RTW or equivalent are governed by the rules at the date of ticketing, which presently doesn't include MH.

That is what should be the case...I agree. If the endorsement box says something like "VLD ON AA/AB/AY... FLTS ONLY," it will be hard to later add MH in. However, if the endorsement box says "VLD ON ONEWORLD FLTS ONLY" and you happen to have a clueless agent, it may then be possible.

A/D GLOB34 RTW fares already include MH flights.

But other RTW Oneworld fares , when issued prior to MH joining OW cannot add MH to their current itineraries. Most agents will know this when they reissue your tickets when they refer to the original date of issue of your ticket. They aren't as 'clueless' as you think they are.. !

When will redemption availability be made available to QF and AA?

I need to make a flight in the middle of Feb and I am hoping to use some miles and fly on MH.

Any idea when QF and AA will have redemption inventory?

But is also says refer oneworld rules.
As current (ie when you ticket), MH is not listed.
