Only Finnair has listed what booking class earns what.. we're still waiting for the rest.

I have booked a flight on MH from SIN-BKK but can't issue the ticket until I know what booking class to book on. I guess I will know tomorrow..

As mentioned previously the fuel surcharges on award tickets are just ridiculous !!!!

Just wondering if anyone else will be switching ??
I'm already Lifetime AA-Platinum (OW Sapphire) member. AA's good. But sometimes MH's 50% award off sale is even better. Plus you must remember that MH might give preference of award seats to its own members first over everyone else.

Terrible update on website

Just checked out the MH website, after all the fanfare of the joining, the update to the website is pathetic!. If you check out the website, they have added the Oneworld logo, but sadly that is so badly aligned it is covering part of their own kite logo.
Checked out their enrich page - just to get a clue on how it would be, no OW airlines are listed there as yet.

Quite a disappointment.

Btw, did anyone catch the whole joining event live on web? Saw a few of it, pity that during the introduction/welcoming greetings from the various airlines, there was a bit of screwup in line up, they mixed up LAN and Japan Airlines.. I think this threw those poor airline representative off course.. some of them got rather nervous.. the S7 rep got lost in words and abruptly ended with her Russian welcome.

Cheers!

I wonder why all the flight attendants of the other Oneworld airlines present for the gathering in KUL were only women?? Plus I wonder if they were treated to some grand tour of Kuala Lumpur or were they expected to just turn up.. surely the Finnair, S7 FAs must be happy to escape the winter blues to the sunshine of Malaysia !

Actually they did an excellent job - you must check it again after midnight 1 Feb 2013 , Malaysian time..

http://www.malaysiaairlines.com/hk/e...-airlines.html

But their earning rates on OW partners don't seem to be very good !
Except for LAN airlines for some reason..

AA has posted their Double Miles on Malaysia Airlines promo

From the small print: "Offer applies only to AAdvantage members who purchase and fly on purchased, published First Class fares booked in A or F; Business Class fares booked in J, C, or D; Economy Class fares booked in Y, B, H, K, M, L, V, or S on Malaysia Airlines operated flights."

OW's various timetables, including the Innovata desktop timetable, have been revised and now contain MH flights.

FROM 15th FEB ???

I have a flight next week ! But I wonder if the double points is for flights from 15th Feb, or will they allow accrual of miles from tomorrow, ie 1st Feb?

haha.. saw that they adjusted the alignment and adjusted the Enrich program.. I must have been too fast for them

Wow, earnings are very restricted. One weird observation is the flights between Malaysia-Australia/NZ. Both Qantas and MH program have special separate earnings between these destinations.
BA earnings are out.. still waiting for the AA one's. My estimation is somewhat close to BA's program, but it could also be as restrictive as flying with Cathay.

MH has been added to Qantas site, earning classes are pretty slim:
Code:
AF (selected routes only)* First 1 -
AF (selected routes only)# First 1 50%
CDJZ (selected routes only)* Business 0.75 -
CDJZ (selected routes only)# Business 1 25%
Y (selected routes only)* Economy 0.25 -
Y (selected routes only)# Economy 1 -
BH (selected routes only)* Discount Economy 0.25 -
BH (selected routes only)# Discount Economy 0.50 -
KMLV Discount Economy 0.25 -

Looks like you can also now book MH flights on BA Avios site.

It's interesting to see that MH's poor earning with QF seems to kick in the day QF jump out of bed with BA and into bed with EK.

That's great !!!!! So they join today......I'm waiting for my MH flight to KUL and I'm coming back on Monday night but don't get bonus miles!!!!! Only MH could come up with something this dumb..... 2 weeks after they join Oneworld they decide to give bonus miles out !!!!!!

I'm wondering how long it's going to take to credit the miles to my AA account for today's flight????? Ok ok.... I'm sitting in the JAL F lounge complaining again.... I have NO idea why the eggs smell/taste like fish!!!! Not a good morning .,,,
