I was told by an AA representative last night that booking must be made AFTER February 1 (MA's official One World entry date) to get EQMs, but that doesn't sound right. One would think that as long as the TRAVEL was made after February 1 that EQMs would be credited to your One World partner account.
I'd actually like to hear if anyone can confirm this...

"MA" was the code for Malev. An old OneWorld partner that went kaput. So as to keep things in order, the 2 letter code for Malaysia Airlines is "MH".
We don't know what the qualifying booking classes are that will earn miles on any programme yet, except with MH's own programme, called Enrich, of course.

Suspect we will get the qualifying charts very soon.
Presumably we will get the earnings charts soon.
I would expect some tiering of Economy fares given existing Malaysian and Delta tiering:
Malaysian - http://www.malaysiaairlines.com/hq/e...-airlines.html
Delta - http://www.delta.com/content/www/en_...-airlines.html
Interesting that the Delta earn was bumped down on 1-Dec-12 including exclusion from earn of cheapest classes
Presumably we will get the earnings charts soon.

Your link didn't work with DL.

When MH partnered with NW, they were more generous in being able to earn 100% miles in most classes including S, L , and V

MH mileage accrual rate for CX Asia Miles
I don't know if I am missing anything. It's less than 2 weeks till MH formally join oneworld but I still can't find which booking class i should book for status miles for cathay. Could someone point me to some website which shows the booking class where I can accrual miles for?
Is MH really ready to join one world??

AS posted above - there is no official policy published yet.
Equally a table had not been published for Kingfisher when they postponed on 3-Feb-12 (they were meant to join on 10-Feb-12)
Take a guide from the Delta/Malaysian tables two above.
I would be avoiding N/O/Q

The Malaysian Website also appears to have a "hidden booking class code" as well.
Once you select the flights you want
(for an Economy Domestic Itin I was presented with MH Smart and MH Flex only)
and go to the
Itinerary Summary screen
Bring up Page Source on your Browser and search for:
"classOfTravel="
Interestingly for my booked MHSmart fare it is showing "V" Class, which I thought was a MHBasic fare based on the redemption table linked above.
Am flying on March 19

Essentially the same as the Delta table.
AY has published accrual rates for MH flights. The following are the inventories, where mileage is accruable:
First: A, F (150% booking class percentage)
Business: C, D, J, Z (125% booking class percentage)
Economy: Y, B, H (100% booking class percentage)
Economy: K, M (50% booking class percentage)
Economy: V, L, S (25% booking class percentage)
