You won't be able to book a OW award until they join the alliance (Feb 1).

When they join OW, it will be same as others in OW obviously.

It should be standardised when they join Oneworld majors.

CX, AA, BA, JL, and QF as far as I know have the same award inventory.

I only do not know (cos I don't book them) on IB, RJ and LA.

Do we already know the benefits we should get as OW status holder while flying on MH:
- lounge access is pretty obvious
- a few miles is the baseline
- free seat selection as on CX?
- extra luggage allowance?
- option to upgrade with miles? I would love that one... :-D

- Extra luggage is not a oneworld benefit
- You can already upgrade MH with enrich miles, would think it unlikely that any other miles can be uses

- Miles will no doubt depend on fare class

- Agree on lounge access, seat selection is generally provided, albeit not a oneworld benefit.

If I book a flight with Malaysian Airlines today for April 13 journey - will I be able to get BA miles and TPs or will you only get that if you book after 1 Feb when they join OW?

Silly question I know but don't want to book flights with them if they wont count!

I would love to give you a firm answer, but it is exetremely difficult to do so. Unless you are fly Business or First, or full fare on booking code Y and B, possibly H, I would say the chances of you getting the miles and TP would be 50-50...

But if the offer is good, take it. If BA does not give you miles or TP. AA might do, or CX.

For most OW members, F is Z (if offered) and J is U. Y can be either X or T, but definately not standardised. See http://www.flyerguide.com/wiki/index...Codes_%28AA%29.

Booking date would not matter if that's your question, but as chongcao said booking class matters if you fly in Y.

But still only CX-coded FLTs earn miles before MH officially joins OW unless more information comes out.
