So how long should it take to get the miles posted to the OnePass account. I opened the account on 3/30/10. Had my first transaction on the debit card probably around 4/7/10 and did my 5 transactions by 4/23/10. Haven't seen anything yet.

MY initial deposit posted as sale as well for both checking and savings acct. I used the BA chase card. I have yet to see the miles post, but I don't using a Chase card is an issue.

It depends on when your billing cycle is, and usually within two after your cycle, all mine miles post in stages, but usually within 6 weeks after opening the account or the 5 transaction, which I do 5 transaction within two days after getting the card.

So, does anyone have any clarity on what exactly constitutes a "direct desposit"? If I arrange to have a nominal amount transferred from my regular non-Chase checking account every month, will it qualify?

What's the maximum I can fund this account with off of a Chase credit card and still have it count as a purchase?

Fine print says you cannot have a Chase checking account prior to starting one with this promotion. Anyone receive the bonuse even though they were already a Chase account holder?

Yes. Three times in less than a year (crossing the Dec 31 mark once).

I believe that you just can't have a *current* checking account with Chase. If you had one before and got the bonus but closed it, you should be OK.

Actually, I do not recall seeing this clause when I opened my accounts in March (I know.... should have waited until April for Mileathon). I have my old copy of the coupon at home, so I will check tonight.

I opened mine in March as well. Looked at the printout just now and there is NO language saying you can't have a current account. Just has the language about one per calendar year and "To qualify you must open a new Chase checking account..." I saw it on the June expiring terms and it's definitely different. Scared me there! Glad I printed the coupon.
