Since it specifically says no, I doubt it.

I think you answered your own question.

Chase isn't looking to reward current customers - they're looking to generate new customers. You can close your account, wait a few days, then apply for this but it's too late unless they extend it.

Since it does not cost a hard pull, I would try the online account opening to see if you could get the 2 separate tracking confirmation printouts - one for the 10K and one for the 15K. You may not get the account opening bonus but still get the usage of debit card bonus. Based on what I read, if you are partially eligible you would get that part of tracking confirmation printout.

I did the biz promo in-branch on 8/29 (existing personal checking customer) and already got 22.5K CO miles. Banker only printed out a 10K confirmation page at the time, it turned out to be fine.

chespeak2002 Oct 29, 2010 3:55 pm

btw: For personal accounts, if you took advantage of other promo(like $100/$125 bonus, etc), probably you can only get 15K CO miles. I only got 15K CO miles for personal (didn't know about this thread earlier and jumped on some $125 bonus), it'll print out only the 15K confirmation.

Thanks for the clarification Happy and Slittin' Aces on the multiple accounts. I went into a branch today and got the 2 tracking printouts without issue. Separately, my girlfriend, who had a chase checking and closed it in 2009, got denied at the branch. The banker said there what the "current customer..." message that he couldn't bypass. Any thoughts on why she might be getting that error? No other chase accounts. I'll have her try online.

Your banker forgot to print the other one. Our banker forgot to print the other one when we opened ours. I had to remind her to go look and she backtracked several screen then she saw there were indeed 2 tracking confirmations to print.

Try to generate a coupon with different code in first 7 digits, it was mentioned in this thread earlier.

Chris: That is correct, we may have one in the future, but the good news is the coupons are very direct and explain everything. But you can use the personal coupon online.

Thanks Marathon Man. I opened personal accounts for self and family, and was going back for business. Decided to read all 100+ pages to make sure to do it right ..... and then found out it can't be done in MA.

The credit card I used for one of the accounts wasn't valid, so I'm going to mail a check. (I made many phone calls to try to use a credit card over the phone, to no avail.) If anyone needs the address to send a check, here it is, direct from the Secure Message Center:

"We are more than happy to assist you assist you with your
deposit.

The US Postal Services mail time is five to seven business
days. The deposit will not show automatically to your
account. If you don't have a pre-addressed envelope
available, you can also mail your deposits by addressing a
blank envelope to:

We hope that the information we provided is useful in
resolving the issue you are having. Please let us know if
you have any other questions or concerns and we will be

YW.
You could do a electronic check as well. My app let me do this option when it said it would not allow funding by a CC.

You will have to wait and see. Last month the offer wasn't extended until well in October.

FYI, you should have been able to use the cert online to open the personal account. You only need to go to the branch in person for the business account.

has anyone else experienced this?

I got my new Chase debit card today and wanted to activate it over the phone.

1) it gives an 866 number on the sticker and also says one could use it once in the ATM, but I do not yet have the pin so I have to wait. When I called, that line would not work.

2) I called the 800# on the back of the card and that said "all circuits busy"

3) i used the Chat service Chase has and the rep there said to try that same number but he could do nothing else on his end.

4) I even tried the area code number on back of the card and it is out of service as well.

is it just me? Or must we all wait to use/activate these?

:)MM

Thanks for the advice! I just applied online, and it accepted the coupon for the miles. Now I will wait and hope that they are added!

Cheers.
