Well lets not go overboard, you will get 2 free tickets within the 49 states, but not to hawaii, those require 40,000 miles.
Can you do this AND the Continental Credit Card offers? Or is it either the checking account or the credit card? |

This is re the 15k HI points offer but the terms are (I think) the same.
I contacted Chase re my points not posting after I had done 3 months of $10 deposits from ING - this is their reply 'I can understand your concern regarding promotions. I will be to help. In response to your inquiry, unfortunately the deposit were ACH deposits and not direct deposits. The promotion is expired and we are unable to override expired promotions. You may want to visit a local branch or contact our Telephone Sales department directly at 1-800CHASE24 (1-800-242-7324) to see if there is any way they can accommodate you. Representatives are available to assist you 7:00 a.m. - 9:00 p.m. ET, seven days a week. I truly apologize for any confusion and/or inconvenience this may have caused. Thank you so much for choosing Chase for your banking needs.' Any one else had miles (or points) post recently after using ING for their deposits ?. This had worked for me 2 years ago when I used it for CO miles. |

But both my wife and I have ~17,000 miles already. Plus kids have ~10,000. So the 25,000 will put my wife and I over the top.

Alright, keep getting the runaround on the phone and using the secure message center. Chase says they don't have the ability to link a OnePass account to a debit card from their system, Continental Says that Chase has to do it. Additionally Chase claims unable to verify the tracking numbers that they provided me with when I signed up for the account. Same goes for OnePass. Am I getting terrible luck with CSRs here?
Question - when you guys have your bonus miles post, will they be visible on the "show rewards" screen? http://img717.imageshack.us/img717/3...warddetail.jpg This is what I see when I "show rewards" linked to the card. Timeline: Account opened Mar 1, 2010, first qualifying transaction Mar 10. I recognize that there may not have been enough time for the bonus to post, but at the very least those 25 miles should be in a onepass account somewhere, right? I'd just love to know where that is. |

They will ask your debit card number and from there they can associate it with your account.. |

I opened my personal $25 checking last week. If I now also open a Business account with the $65 fee will I certainly be able to get another 25,000 to make it a total of 50k miles? On a different note, I just got my 35k miles from my Chase Continental credit card this month.

85,000 for $90, good first post |
I printed out the "coupon" to go the the local branch. On it it says:
2. Open a Chase Checking account, set up direct deposit AND make a qualifying purchase with your Chase Continental Airlines Preferred Debit Card. Do I have to do both setup direct deposit AND use the card, but below it says either or? Which is it? |
FWIW, I opened business and personal accounts at the local branch in mid December 2009. All 50,000 from those two posted with no problems. Mid January I opened another personal account on-line. I received the two letters in the mail acknowledging the promotion with official looking "tracking numbers" for the miles. Made all my purchases and dotted my i's and crossed my t's following the rules. As of now, no 10,000 deposit or 12,500 deposit from Chase. The 2,500 from Continental did post, as did the miles from the purchases so I know it is linked to my Onepass account correctly. I called them Tuesday and they didn't have an explanation. The lady on the phone sounded really skeptical as she questioned me, "wait a minute,,,,,,, you have how many accounts????" but she promised to initiate an investigation and get back to me in 4-6 business days.
Anyway, I will report back the results of the investigation. In the mean time I guess I am still going to risk opening my 2010 business account at a branch this weekend since it is not clear the promotion will be extended. I figure I should have a little better standing with Chase on the business account since I have actually run a thousand or so dollars through the one I already have on Dell Business purchases in the last couple of months (4 for $1 miles). So it actually shows some modest business type activity whereas the personal accounts only show a few Wendy's 99¢ Double Stacks and $1 gas purchases. |

I have a feeling, this is the end of the program. Usually in years past, they have issued a new coupon just before the expiry of the existing.

No read the fine print. It specifies that you don't have to set up DD. It also specifies that you don't have to get the Preferred card.
OK, Just wanted to make sure I wasn't seeing things. I'll head either tomorrow or Monday. I'll send the wife in on Tuesday (or could I do both at the same time, I'm thinking she needs to sign stuff right?). Now only if my kids were older.... |
