Opened one on Friday and funded it with $500 from a Chase credit card. Today the funds are now showing up in the online account. It also automatically found my correct OnePass number. So looks like it is good to go. This online opening is great, wish the business one would work though.

us too

I am at 6 months on my personal account and my wife is right behind me. I can finally cancel without the $25 gotcha fee. I signed up for the business account a couple of weeks ago. was about to do the same for her but saw the extension and will wait to read mileathon details. I know the rule is 1 award per personal and 1 per business per year, but you say the year is Jan-Dec and not based on account opening or award dates?!? can someone confirm this? I have a branch down the street from me and I was the first to apply for the personal account offer. After i did they spread the word and signed up 100 new customers under the promotion in the first month, the rep that helped me claimed the even investigated her because she helped open 40 herself. They were stunned that this branch outdid all others. They seem to be ok using these promotions as a tool and encourage me to tell everyone i can. so if 2010 is technically a new year i will do it again if the offer is still there. Been almost 2 years since i had the onepass mastercard, do you think i can get the miles again on it? or are they like AMEX (one award per person.)
I am also looking at Chase Sapphire which has a fee waived card with 15000 points with $1000 purchased in first 3 months.these points can be turned 1 for 1 into CO miles...i also ran across an offer (which i cant find again) that was for 25000 for $3000 in first 3 months....sortta steep qualifier but no fee for first year.I know its out there i just have to find it again...45 minutes till mileathon details...cant wait

Key bank debit card

Is it worth it to signup for keybank debit card?

Schutzee Apr 1, 2010 3:26 pm

I opened two business accounts with different corporate names. I got one bonus, but Chase claims because the miles go to my personal One Pass account, both corps are one "customer" and will not give me the second bonus. I was able to switch to a regular debit card and get the $65. fee refunded. I will be closing this account after 90 days to avoid the account closing fee.

Why not... especially if you can take advantage of the current promotion for $125 bonus with new account. I have a Key Bank debit card linked to my CO account, too.

Mileathon

Seems like the debit card only get 15 points this time, but only for the Preferred option. No word as to whether the business account also earns Mileathon points.

The $65 card. Not the $25 card.

As it applies to a personal account. The business debit card is neither preferred or un-preferred. It's just the card, so I too wonder if it qualifies for mileathon. It does share the same attributes of the preferred card so I'm hoping yes.

Chase is starting to make me mad. Whenever I signed up for the debit card, my rewards were linked with my Dad's OnePass account (same first and last but not middle name). After calling Chase and Continental several times back and forth, they finally linked it to my OnePass account instead.

I had also signed up for the Chase Continental Credit card and the 25k posted to my OnePass account a few days after paying my first statement. Today, I had to log into my Dad's OnePass account to change some seating for a flight he bought me. I see the 10k and 12.5k points added to my Dad's account on April 1st. Is Chase playing some cruel April Fools joke on me?

Although it would be nice if they credit my account the missing points, but never removed them from my Dad's.

$45 is definitely not worth 15 Mileathon points. Since there is only one card with the Business account, the only option is hoping one receives Mileathon credit...

Yea, they do have some miscues here and there, I've experienced a few over the years too.

Does anyone know how difficult would it be for someone else (my sister) to open an account in my name? (I live in Washington DC, and can't find a Chase branch within a couple of hours of me.) Would it require a power of attorney?
