Did you also get the Chase Continental debit card or the regular debit card?

I did the regular debit card, and rewards are not showing yet. I figured that would take a few days to show up.

My wild guess is that Chase gets real-time information on the amount of charge, (all the better to sock you with overdraft fees, I'd imagine), then later gets information on the type of charge.

Thanks, figured as much. Just want to get these transactions out of the way as soon as possible.

Ok. B/c the reg debit card will only yield 10k miles. You need the Chase CO card to get the additional 15k.

Sorry,...I meant to say I got the CO Debit card, NOT the the CO Preferred Debit card. 25K will come from either card.

I was asked for an EIN OR a business license OR a fictitious business name registration.

I chose the former since it was available instantly on-line for free whereas the latter two would have required a trip to the court house and paying a fee.

I was curious about the exact meaning of this, so I sent Chase a secure e-mail, asking if the 5 debits had to be in calendar month, or 5 debits on each statement.

It's the latter: "Chase Checking (SM) has no monthly service fee when there is a monthly direct deposit to the account or you make five or more debit card purchases in a statement period."

Has anyone closed their account after receiving their miles? If so any problems encountered?

When I signed up for the account on Friday, in the documents I was given it clearly states that if the account is closed before 6 months your miles maybe debited from your OP account.

I think others in this thread have mentioned closing an account before 6 months without having any problems, but I'll play it safe by keeping it open for 6 months.

Others have posted their experience with Chase and United. Chase pulled the miles back out from the United account, which created a negative United balance. United in turn sent the account holder a bill for whatever amount it sold the miles for.

I have not read anyone with any experience with Chase and Continental. You can try and report back.

I would double check with the person whom assisted her in opening the account b/c she should have received the paper mentioning the 10k for making one qualified purchase.

The personal one is free and the business one you can opt for the 25$ annual fee card, right? (or the other way around) ... Either way, one is free and one has a 25$ fee?

Thanks

I don't know about the business account, but if you opt for the CO card with your personal account there is a annual fee of $25 which is charged to your account one month after it has been opened.
