Thanks a lot! This one does work.
Where did you find this link? I used the link from continental.com, but that only gives 10k.

Actually, the best link is to http://www.chase.com/milesforchecking.

At this link, it will generate your own coupon and you don't have to worry about refreshing to avoid duplicating someone else's.

Thanks Playboy. I'll have to see if there are any states with Chase branches I'll be in before the deadline. Perhaps I could arrange my first ever mileage run; now if only Chase had branches *in* airports...

Chase Bank branch locator provides incomplete results? There *is* one in NC?

This is strange. When searching on Raleigh, NC with the Chase Bank branch locator, I'm told there are no branches within 50 miles:

https://www.chase.com/ccp/index.jsp?...Branch_Locator

But when I do a google search on: +"chase bank" +raleigh, nc
... I receive the following result for a JP Morgan Chase bank:

http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=en&so...ed=0CAsQnwIwAA

Either the branch has closed or the Chase locator is wrong; or it's merely an ATM. A phone number is listed, and I've never heard of ATMs with their own, publicly accessible phone lines...

Strategy for closing accounts

What is the best strategy for closing accounts opened under this promotion?

I definitely want to terminate the Continental debit card within the next year, before the next annual fee posts.

But, assuming that the promotion rolls around again, is it better to have closed some or all of the old accounts, or just keep accumulating accounts?

Has anyone gotten heat for opening new Chase checking accounts when they already have several other ones?

(bolding mine)

Did you read post#1? The link is right there at the bottom of the post.

BTW, OP in this case means "Original Post", i.e. post #1.

I just always call and close the account by phone, usually no question asked, or asked i just give some BS answer, but usually not a big deal. I just closed one about 2 months ago and will open another one up in mid Jan.

I just email them through my online account and they close it.

I am still waiting for 2,500 bonus miles to post, as well as the Mileathon credit/miles to show up as a result of opening the CO debit card.
Just an update. The final 2,500 bonus miles just showed up, dated 1/1/2010. Before opening another account, now the only thing I am still waiting for is the Mileathon credits, which I expect will take a fair bit of time.

I opened my account 10 weeks ago and have only received 2500 initial cardmember bonus . Has anyone else had to wait this long before bonuses posted?

The T&C say:

Initial 10,000 bonus miles will be deposited in your OnePass account 6-10 weeks after the 5 debit card purchases or initial direct deposit has posted to the new account.

My wife and I signed up checking accounts back in December. I have completed the required 5 transcations (signed purchases). We are still waiting for the 1st statement to complete.

Also, since I had a Wamu account already and had a big enough balance, I don't have to pay any additional monthly fees for the new checking account.

online for personal account

Update:
I live in a state with no chase branches and opened a perosnal account online. Phone bankers insisted that the only way to do this was online. However, I could not open the business account online (and phone bankers said they could not help).

Will update when miles post.

Correction. The address above is an office building, not a retail Chase Bank branch.
