My miles have now all posted. I had opened both a personal and biz acct in mid November and once I got the debit cards ($25 for personal and $65 for biz), I used each card as required. From the postings into my Onepass acct, I can't distinguish between the personal and biz bonuses.

11/28 10,000
12/10 10,000
12/10 12,500
12/19 12,500
1/5 2,500
1/20 2,500

It took approx. 45 days to get one set and 60 days the other set.

Is there an age requirement (like 18 or over) to open a regular checking account? I have a 15 y.o. I'd like to set up with a checking account AND earn the 25,000 Continental Airlines miles.

I see that the offer has expired. I can't believe I missed it! (D'oh!)

Does Chase repeat these offers in the new year?

BUT, trying the same with a new business account I get about half way through the application and when I get to the second place you enter the coupon code it always gives me some error like "can't verify coupon code, continue without it?" and I bail out there. Is anyone getting all the way through on-line opening a business account? I suppose I will call them or go to the branch again.
I just tried to open the business checking acct online and got the same error at the end of the process.

Business Account Glitch

I opened my accounts at the local bank two weeks ago. My bank rep was unable to add the certificate number to the biz account due to a software glitch. The personal account did not have that problem. She called me after banking hours to say that everything was fine. She had called the powers that be in order to add the certificate. Perhaps that is what should be done to correct the problem.

Depending upon where you live you probably have to open a UGMA/UTMA account due to your child's age. However, this should not prevent you from using the child's onepass a/n to obtain the miles. Try it.

My statement closed a couple of days ago on my checking account that I opened earlier this year through the Chase website. Unlike my other checking account that was opened in the branch, this account did NOT have the first 22.5k miles post around the time of the first statement date...not yet at least. I'll give it a few more weeks time and then call Chase in regards to this as I still have the coupon code that I used when opening up the account saved.

Have any of you other online account openers seen any bonus miles post?

Opened one personal and one business checking account in late October. All miles except 10000 have posted, the branch keeps calling Chase IT and now we have a research request filed. It's a pain, but sometimes you have to keep calling and chasing the miles.

went to the local chase branch today and opened a personal account..at first the rep only knew of the 2,500 mile offer until i showed him the 21,000 offer...got denied on the business account as he really wanted to see a viable business with direct deposits etc so i didnt push it...

in terms of funding options when i asked if i could use a cc they said yes but it would be as a cash advance...no thanks
and to avoid the requirements for the 5 transactions a month i opened a checking account for 1500 which i will keep parked in there until i cancel the accounts when the next annual fee is due

Has anyone gotten Mileathon credit for getting the debit card? I've gotten my 25k miles, but the mileathon page never reflected the 20 credits I ought to have earned for opening this checking account and getting the Continental debit card.

I too am having the same issue. The mileathon summary is not showing credit for either chase debit card??? I was being patient but now I am wondering if this is truly an oversight?

Opened my checking account with direct deposit today at local WAMU/Chase branch. So far everything looks okay. The banker gave me two receipts stating that I should get get total of 25k miles. The debit card shall arrive in 5-7 business days. Even though I set up direct deposit, I will still make 5 transactions on the debit card just to be on safe side. Will inform as and when I get miles.

I set up a monthly-recurring direct deposit of only $200 a month from my company's corporate bank account (non-Chase). Is that enough to fulfill the direct deposit requirements so I don't have to do the 5 debit card transactions every month, and thereby avoid paying the monthly service fee ($6/month)? Has anyone had any experience with that? Thanks!

I just finished opening a chase checking account online. I had no problem entering the coupon code, selecting the continental regular debit card ($25 annual fee) and funding the account with a credit card. I funded $500 (the maximum) and it said it would show up as a purchase^. It also confirmed the 10,000 and 15,000 miles bonuses I will get upon completing the requirements^. Thanks to all for making me aware of this great offer
