I have a question for those of you that have had the account for a few months now. I was reading the Program Rules and Regulations on the Chase website and noticed this:
6. You will earn one (1) OnePass mile for every two (2) dollars in Qualifying Purchases made
using your Chase Continental Airlines Debit Card. Please allow 6 to 10 weeks for miles to post to
your OnePass account.
Is this correct? Does it really take anywhere from 6-10 weeks to get the miles made from purchases into your OnePass account or is it similar to the bonus miles where the miles are deposited much quicker?

I went in early nov and signed up for this, I was only given a tracking page/number for the 10,000 miles, not the 15,000 miles. I was happy till I reread this thread and saw some people were gipped out of miles and knew instantly that I would be one of them 
I can't get to the bank branch again till Friday, but hasn't anyone else successfully argued for the right miles when the banker messed up?
I have already done both the 5 debit transactions and direct deposit, so holding my breath that this can be fixed.

Purchase miles usually deposit around same time as first set of bonus miles. About a month after account opening.

I went to my local branch here in LA and had no problem opening both accounts. There was a slight problem getting my Onepass # entered for the biz account. She made a call to their dept that handles these promotions and was able to get it resolved. I got the confirmation pages showing the miles to be deposited. While setting up the accounts, her system showed I was preapproved for a Chase Continental credit card with 25K bonus. I said sure and it was instantly approved. Took about an hour, but I left with $75K Onepass miles (OK once I make the actual purchases).
My thought is that since this offer was setup in July (says offer valid July 1 - Dec. 31, 2009), that California branches were originally excluded because their systems had not yet been integrated. Maybe now that the integration is complete, the bank forgot to remove the exclusion from the wording.

I also got the confirmation page with the tracking number in case my account does not get credited with the miles.
I used the certificate with the same wording (excluding California). I was assured it was not an issue now the formerly WAMU-branded branch is integrated into Chase.

To update, my fears were premature, I did get both postings, one for 10,000 and the second for 12,500 on 11/25 , so there is hope for others who didn't get both tracking numbers

I went on Saturday to open a new account and close and transfer the funds from the account I opened last year. The coupon stated that I needed to open the preferred debit card, so I did... Hopefully, I will get ALL of the miles this year. Too bad I did it too late to qualify for Mileathon activity.

You are cutting a little close to get ALL of the miles this year. I opened my account on 11/4, and I am still waiting for some of the bonus miles to be posted. As the fine print indicated, it may take up to 6-10 weeks for the miles to post after all requirements are satisfied.

I opened up my accounts in November, but none of them earned Mileathon points and they are not even showing up as an activity in my Mileathon progress.

Offer valid January 1, 2009 through June 30, 2009. To qualify for the reward you must open a new Chase CheckingSM account with a $100 minimum opening deposit of new money (money not currently held by Chase or its affiliates). Also, to qualify for the first 10,000 bonus miles you must initiate a repeating direct deposit such as payroll, Social Security or other government benefits. The first direct deposit must be completed within 60 days of account opening to earn the bonus miles. Initial 10,000 bonus miles will be deposited in your OnePass account 6-10 weeks after the initial direct deposit has posted to the new account. Limit one personal checking account-related award/premium per customer, per calendar year. Limit one 10,000 bonus miles per checking account. Offer not available on account conversions or in combination with any other offer. Account is subject to approval. Chase CheckingSM is available only at Chase branded branches.
