I was planning on stacking, but never got the opportunity to do so with the free account. Since my company does business with Chase, they upgraded me to the Workplace Checking account without my asking. Both promos came through however.

FYI. Workplace Checking is actually another unadvertised free checking product from Chase.

Did you do anything to finally set off the posting or did it just eventually happen?

I also opened mine in January (very early January) and have only received the 2,500. Through their email system I was told they will all post by May 10, which they obviously won't. I've just about given up trying to talk to them before May 10.

I did not do anything special . Just used the debit card as soon as I got once in late January. My first ACH came in late february, it was a direct deposit from work. I know people said paypal can work too.

My final 7500 miles posted with a date of 4/16. I called the number from the email I received from customer service after only receiving 2500, and 10,000 posted a few days later. YIPEE!

Can you post when you started the process and when your miles credited? I'm trying to gauge if mine is taking too long or not enough time has past. Also, can you post the email and phone number you used? Thanks in advance.

the posting times seem incredibly variable for whatever reason. i am not sure if the experiences of one particular poster would be a good proxy for when you should expect your miles to post.

Last year this worked for me. This year I've only been given 10,000 miles (7,500 + 2,500). I called Chase yesterday to ask about the remaining 10,000 miles and they told me that Paypal was no longer sufficient to satisfy the Direct Deposit requirement. I'm waiting to hear back from one of their "account researchers," but the branch told me I'd already missed the two-month deadline to set-up the Direct Deposit and would be unlikely to get the remaining miles.

Like you said, that would be a big :td: change from a year ago.

I will be on fire if this is the case.

Chase have just confirmed to me that Paypal will no longer satisfy the Direct Deposit requirement on promotions such as this Continental offer. I was told that they would credit the remaining miles to me as a courtesy, but that that is their new policy.

Not to discount what you are saying, but I have an email from Chase stating that I had fulfilled the direct deposit portion of the requirements. I only did several ACH transfers rather than a true direct deposit. Either way, glad you got the miles, its more than I can say for myself.
