I just signed up for this offer. The manager at my branch signed me up for "Chase At Work" checking w/direct deposit. Hopefully she didn't screw me since I was under the impression that there was just a chase checking w/direct deposit. She also opened up a savings account under this (no biggie, I'm probably actually gonna use it). My only concern is that I am going to be doing the deposits from my paypal account, not from "work." She told me this is fine, and she also added a $25 coupon to my account in addition to the CO mileage offer.
Has anyone heard of "Chase Workplace Checking"? I'll keep my fingers crossed. |
{Edited by Moderator. Any referral/conga requests must be placed in the S.P.A.M. forum, per Flyertalk rules}

FWIW, all the conga/referral requests should be posted in our S.P.A.M. forum and the appropriate threads in that forum (if there's an existing conga line) and nowhere else. @:-)

I'm probably going to do this, this week, as there's a Chase branch now in Kroger's. Does anyone have the bullet-points for the direct-deposit (the requirement for the first 10k)? Is it just an inbound ACH (easily enough done!), that has to appear in the first 30 days, etc? Guess the question is, how does Chase measure that the trigger is created, for the 10k mile transmission?
The other 10k seems easy enough, I'll be going for the cash card. Thanks! Steve B. |

Has anyone heard of "Chase Workplace Checking"? Chase has more than one type of free checking products. FWIW, when the banker informed me I could open the Chase Workplace (free) Checking, I was told they didn't advertise all the free checking account products online (or elsewhere), and you needed to meet certain requirements (like certain employers or something) to be eligible for Workplace Checking. As I recall, Workplace Checking comes with free checks as well. You may want to double check with your banker. |
I signed up for the $25 debit card and just got 7500 points posted. Do you think I will get the remaining 2500 points or is that only for the higher fee card:
Activity Date Description Mileage Earned 02/29/2008 Chase Debit Card Enrollment Bonus Miles 7,500 02/28/2008 Chase Debit Premium Purchases 1 |
7500 miles instead of 10000
Veggie Lover,
The same thing happened to me - opened the account about 3 weeks ago. Just found my miles for the debit card portion only posted 7500 instead of the 10000 miles it should have been. Have you had any luck contacting anyone about this? I will probably call Chase later today but wanted to see if anyone else has had this happen/been able to resolve easily? Thanks! |
Is the $65 "Banking Card" the same as the Continental Mastercard that they are always advertising for in the CO magazine? Or is this a debit card that just earns twice as much as the $25 card?

When I registered for the $65 card last year, 10,000 miles were posted first, then 7,500, then 2,500. It took a few weeks for them all to post. |

I use Paypal to make a small monthly deposit. Just fund your Paypal account and link the Chase account.
If this is true, and an ACH transaction is all that is needed, does anyone know the minimum ACH transaction amount, and the minimum period? Is $10 monthly enough? If not, I can always have my paycheck deposted into this account for 6 months... no biggie, just don't want to do it that way. Thanks! Steve B. |
I have been doing $10. online from ING monthly and it meets the requirement

You only need ONE ACH per statement cycle. Even the pity Paypal account verification deposit like $0.07 (or whichever amount Paypal deposited into) would work. |
For those who don't live near a Chase branch and/or prefer $125 cash instead (note OFFER EXPIRES 4/30/2008) try this link:
http://www.maximizingmoney.com/banki...cking-account/ Note this offer requires that you already have a Chase relationship, i.e. credit card. Also you are limited to one bonus per person per year. |
