It's puzzling. I asked the representative why I hadn't been charged monthly fees if Paypal didn't count as direct deposit (as direct deposit is a requirement for free monthly checking). She couldn't give me an answer. Let's hope the miles show up in "another 6-10 weeks."

Anyone get all 20k miles this cycle (2008) using only PayPal as the direct deposit? Thanks!

Just A quick note, I did Paypal, but I also did ING. I have $50 a month going into ING from another accoount and then did a $5 ACH into Chase auto each month. ING does show up as ach as it is a bank.

Anyone know if non-US residents can open a Chase account and take advantage of this offer? I know it CANNOT be done online, but what about at a Chase branch?

Thanks.

Should matter if your a resident, many of non-residents have bank accounts, just bring in the printed promo from the website into the branch

PayPal to satify Direct Deposit Requirement

I did a search on this, but couldn't come up with the answer (or perhaps I used the wrong search term). Can anyone tell me if the mileage bonus that you receive for doing this is treated as "taxable interest" on your 1099 for your tax return. This may sound silly, but in the past we have received US Open tennis tickets for opening a Chase account, and we were surprised to find it included at the end of the year as interest income. Thanks for your input.

Can you provide any details on the 30K CO miles business credit card account. The only offer I can find is 20,000 with an annual fee of $85.

Looking over a $100 checking w/ DD bonus I recieved through the mail...I don't think it would be possible to combine since each state "limit one bonus per year." This is not the case, however, with the referral bonuses...as always, YMMV.
