E-mail Link defaults to 40K
I received an e-mail with the 65K offer for the last 5-6 months. Finally, this weekend I got around to trying to accept the offer. However, when I click on the link in the webpate, the webpage that comes up has the 40K offer. I've tried my ipad browser with the same result. I also logged directly into my MP account and I can see the 65K banner. However, when I click on the banner, I'm taken to the 40K offer page.
I called MP and they said it is up to Chase. I called Chase and they said the only thing they can offer by phone is the 40K offer. Frustrating!
The e-mail has my current mileage balance and then adds the 65K in pieces. You'd think they'd want me to accept their repeated offer . . . .
Any ideas?

I was able to apply last night for Mrs. Redtop with a 65K link also. Not sure offhand where I found it, but it worked. I was of course logged into her MP account at the time, with a non-zero balance.

Clear your cookies or start an incognito browsing session and then login to United and click the link (may take 2x).

I deleted cookies twice and retried it with my account and my spouse's account. Both still pull up only the 40K offer. Arrgh.

I just tried the link in a private browsing window, it works as of writing this.
Maybe you didn't snag all the cookies? Try private browsing/incognito mode.
Also: you have points in your account, right? I tried in a throwaway account of mine with 750 points, the 65k offer showed up there as well.
If you really need the card asap, apply and take screenshots of the email offer and then SM and request the bump up to the 65k + $50 offer.
Good luck.

I do have points in my account. I called Chase and they said that they would need to escalate (their description didn't sound promising so I hung up while on hold). Any more tips would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Thanks for the tips. I'm afraid that I don't know what you mean by a "private browsing window." Do you mean when I'm not logged in to UAL? I tried that and no go. I also tried a different computer. I am in no rush for the card, but I only want to apply if I get the 65K they offered me.

Steps:
Private browsing --> United.com & login --> Click link (may need to do so twice).

Thanks very much for the help. I tried private browsing (nice trick to know) and then clicked the link--still 40K offer. Then, I deleted all cookies again. I had to click the link twice, but I still end up with the 40K offer. My Flyertalk is now filled with advertisements for the 40K card. Somewhere there must be a cookie that is killing me. Argh.

I cancelled a Continental card a few weeks ago, to avoid the annual fee (first year was up). Was able to get a United card only a few weeks later, fyi. Bonus was 30,000 miles (plus option to earn up to 15,000 bonus miles). Not a great bonus, but I need a United/Continental card for upcoming trip, and this more than did the trick! Hope this helps someone out there

As per some of the other posts it sounds like "fresh miles" is important. Having just reupped with Sapphire, I am reluctant to immediately hit Chase right away w/ lots of new inquiries - but to get fresh miles on each of my and my wife's account I just ordered a new kids book from the united shopping link via the mileage plus site.. $6.90 for each book w/ shipping included for each of our accounts.
Just a thought as it sounds like people have been deliberating buying miles @ more expense. I don't know how long it'll take the "fresh miles" to post but there isn't really a rush for me. (just hoping the offer will still be around when they post to where I can see the elevated miles offer).

What is the fastest way to get "fresh" united miles into my account without flying?
I want to take advantage of this United offer ASAP, but I don't have miles in my account.
I've thought about transfering miles from US Airways, but its a terrible exchange rate.
I've thought about purchasing something through the united shopping link with a registered card. How long does it take for the miles to show up in the account?
Does anyone know of a faster way or promo?
