Does anyone have any issue with the first United Explorer statement closed more than 6 days ago and miles have still not yet posted? Here is my situation, I have had CO OnePass Plus over a year, paid annual fee in Jan. I also have had UA Select Visa over a year, paid annual fee in Jan, I applied and got approved the UA Exploreer on March 2 (using my old United MP number), first statement closed on March 20 with 50K bonus shown on the statement. The other two cards have miles posted on the same dates statements were closed (March 20), but Explorer hasn't yet posted.

You might have me to thank for the eventual posting. I was in a similar situation, except that my first statement was closed on 3/19. I called Chase a couple of times and was always told to wait more. I finally secure messaged Chase. First the message was forwarded to the right department. Then I got a final reply this afternoon that they talked to United and get those miles posted. It went to my old Mileage Plus account number, which is not accessible by me from the website anymore. They found it and moved it to the new MP/old CO number. Maybe they looked at other accounts in the same situation and took care of them also.

i have two GM members of MP with 0 miles i am trying to subscribe to the 60/50k card, but i dont get anything but "up to 40k" offer :-(
using separate browser and clearing cookies etc.
i guess i will have to wait until some miles appear to try again.
I have both MP and old CO (now MP) - and dont get any offers on chase, except generic "up to 40" if I am not logged in.

united 50k offer
Hello,
I tried to apply for this offer, but because I have an account with Continental I can't get to the application page, it just defaults to my account home.
Has anyone with the old Continental Chase card tried to respond to this offer? I got the 50k bonus, in April last year I believe.
Tom

Milage Plus Explorer Card
I am interested in applying for the Explorer Card. However, I am worried I will not be approved. Do you know what your credit needs to be in order to approved? I am a student...any chances I can get approved? And how should I go about it? I saw a few links, but dont know which one to use..thanks!

Great! Unfortunately, I'm going to have to wait a while before I apply for the UA Explorer card since I just got a Sapphire Preferred and am working on the minimum spend, but this is very encouraging and I'll be adding this one to the summer app-o-rama.
Wonder if I should cancel the old CO OnePas Plus first....?

My wife didn't (applied post 3/3), nor did I (applied in Feb). I have always respected the 3 months rule between each card application, I also always reduce credit line for each new card to a needed level (they always max out each new card which helps indicate how much credit line I still have left with Chase), and with 3-4 thousand spending combined in the other cards per month, I haven't been rejected in the past 16 months (4 new cards since). Good luck and I hope they will still give the bonus.

United MileagePlus Explorer Card
Just got the Chase United MileagePlus Explorer card and noted that the benefits include:
1. Free first checked bag
2. PRIMARY rental car CDW
Question:
1. Does free first checked bag apply to frequent flyer tickets?
2. Does Primary rental car CDW apply if rental car is booked through Priceline or Hotwire?
Thanks!

I've not canceled my CO card, or for that matter any of my Chase cards:
--Sapphire Preferred (Aug. 2011)
--CO OnePass (~Dec. 2011)
--UA Explorer (~Feb. 2012)
--BA "100k" (that's really 50+25+25k) (April 2012)
All were approved, though for one or two I may have had to move CL around. I'm not sure if I waited 60 days between the Sapphire and the OnePass, but it was very close. The others were pretty close to 60 days as well.

I'm not sure about the second question, but no, the free bag only applies to purchased tickets, although I assume if you purchase a ticket and then upgrade with miles, it still does count.

To be the safe side, you should probably pay the taxes/fees using the Explorer card.

I applied for and received the 60k card in January, and applied for my wife a couple of weeks ago. She was just declined, even though I have considerable income and we both have impeccable credit history, because of the US CARD law - because she has no earned income, Chase would not process the application! This is very frustrating, as it obviously takes her out of the picture in terms of credit card sign-up bonuses. Another federal "protection" we don't want.....

I got a letter last week telling me that I was upgraded from the 20k promo to the 50k promo.
Two days later, I got a letter stating that I dont qualify for ANY points because I had a regular United card last year.
(I got the card 3 weeks ago and have used it. I got a $50 statement credit as well)
So far, no points have posted. Has this happened to anyone else? Suggestions?
