The idea is smart, you schedule the checkins and what days to check in.
I went in and set up a schedule, check into property A, B, C and an airport. I didn't want to check into property A at exactly 8:05 each M-Su, so I started making different checkins for each day of the week, Monday 8:05, Tuesday 7:33, Wed.... but then hit the limit of 10 scheduled check-ins. I would need 28 check ins 4x7days to execute with proper randomness for my comfort level. |
Im gonna have to figure out how you guys are getting more than 50 UA miles per day.
|
are you guys creating multiple Gmails to make the trick work or is that not really necessary?
|
I signed up for this a long time ago, but just figured out how to sync it all to do it from my phone. And to think I used to live right next to a Crowne Plaza but I didn't realize what Priority Club points were. I still live pretty close to the Crowne Plaza and Double Tree. I will do one in the morning, one in the evening. And throw in a check-in at Newark Airport every few days when I'm on the turnpike.
|
There is no need to be in physical proximity to a check-in location unless you allow your client to determine you aren't nearby.
|
I haven't gotten any points for Doubletree checkins since March. Has anyone else had this problem?

Mystery check ins
Interesting development here. I had up until now not checked into United. I decided to do a trial run on Tuesday and see how quickly the points would show up. Today I check my United account and see 200 miles in my account from TopGuest. 50 on Tuesday, but then 50 on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday. I didn't check into United on those days. Wonder what gives. I am very careful with my check ins and do not want to alert the Cardinals. This worries me a bit. Has anyone else had this occur?

No I have not ,but maybe you are in proximity to a hotel or a place that double dips into a UA topguest location. I have read reports that some users check into a hotel that gives them UA miles too since the distance might be in proximity. |
I'm going to keep an eye out on this and see if it keeps happening.
|
My past 1 month of doubletree points have not posted despite it showing up in the topguest log.
Something is happening or is doubletree out of the game? |

Go into Topguest, click Programs. On the HHonors one, click Edit, and then click Save. Somehow it loses the sync to the program sometimes.

And sometimes that is not successful either.
The backlog of 1700 points have not been transferred to my HH account. |
I have not received a single posting on Hilton other than my signup bonus. No problems with other programs. Will try to re-sync the program again. Frustrating, because I want more Hilton points....

Already tried this a couple of months back before this post, and also tried after this post, or about 3 weeks ago. It didn't work either time. It appears that Hilton Honors is dead for good. I stopped doing check ins there since it is useless and there's no point on triggering a warning email for no reason.

Yes, I've checked into Doubletrees and Hampton Inns since then. Hasn't worked. Yes, I do get the confirmation email that I have earned points, and as a matter of fact i just tried and the email came in right away, and they do show on my Topguest account, but the points never actually post to my Hilton Honors account. They stopped posting about two months ago just when everyone else's points stopped posting. When you are saying that you just earned points, did you get the confirmation email AND your points actually posted to your Hilton Honors account, or did you just receive the email? It's useless if the points aren't actually posting.

Topguest - additional points for checkins
The points from my wife's double tree check in are posting to her Hilton account. Mine stopped around the end of April.....time to send email to support at topguest?

I checked into United two weeks ago when dropping off the MIL. I am still getting daily checkins and points for United. Anyone else having this happen?

I have no idea why miles posted on 5/28, 5/29, 5/31, or 6/1 (assuming United miles always post the day after the check-in), but I'm not complaining. |
It was a tease as they were delayed over the weekend from posting. Did your's catch up again since June 2? My acct did.

Why do you say that? You posted this on the 4th, and yet I received United miles on the 2nd (within the last two days of your post):

Hampton Inn and Doubletree are both still posting for me and in less than 24hrs from the check in.
I'm wondering if the people who aren't getting the points are checking in too often? I only do the check in once a day to make sure I'm not setting off any "red flags" in the system. |

I have not had any Hilton Honors points post since March 27!

All of the emails are within the hour, but PC points usually post within a few hours. BW/DT/airports always post the next day for me, unless it's the weekend. In that case, they appear Monday morning.
