10k UA mileage-run from SFO ???

I'm based at SFO (UA CC holder and Platinum on UA for 2016), and am currently Silver for 2017 (didn't need to fly as much this year). I need 10k miles to reach Gold and am considering an $800 ticket to LHR. Is it worth it? I'm not willing to spend much more than 18hrs (total) in economy-plus for this, and doubt I will get upgraded. Travel is for mid-December. Thanks for your tips

If you're talking about a CPU, you will not get upgraded because the route is not CPU-eligible.

You could fly to Puerto Rico (SJU) in BusinessFirst (lie-flat seats) for around $1100 (!). That's almost 17,000 PQM. Alternatively you could fly BF one way and coach the other way and still net about 12,000 PQM for only $800.

Over a dozen cities in China have a 72 hour transit visa and three have a 144 hour transit visa.

Hi, would love some help finding a day turn OR a couple of days in Europe out of RNO, it's not easy to find these from here. I do have a trip to SIN early Nov so that helps. Thanks in advance for all help maintaining my 1K status. All requirements met except miles. No codeshare please.
Departure Airport: RNO
Miles Needed: 4500
Required Spend or Budget: $350 (unless I can find a Europe flight, then $700
Available Travel Dates: anytime but 2nd week in Nov, and before 12/18
Required Metal or Codeshares okay: No codeshares
