mikomi2004, welcome to FlyerTalk! How far are you interested in flying? N. America only? or beyond? Star Alliance partners, or only United operated aircraft?

I'd recommend Singapore.

Short / cheap flight from DCA / IAD / BWI?
Need 246 PQM to make gold; PQD satisfied and PQS nowhere close to matter.
Looking for any flights ex DCA / IAD / BWI (in that order) that'll get them for minimum spend / time -- ideally an out-back non-stop RT.
Thanks!

Thanks for the replies guys . I'm open to almost anywhere. Asia would be fantastic. Singapore, Hongkong, South Korea,l Manila and Japan are all on my bucket list. I love flying and wouldn't mind long haul flights as long as there are long stopovers to go around the city. Do the bonus UA miles applies to UA flights only or does codeshare works too? I'm registered on a promo that I get bonus miles if I reach a certain PQD level within the year.

A quick same-day trip to RDU would probably get you what you need - costs about $120. There may be cheaper options out there, my suggestion is to look on GF. Enter your preferred dates, select non-stop for UA, and go to map view. You will be able to compare prices around your chosen airport.

How many miles (PQM's) exactly do you need or is it just PQD's? You can easily do YYZ-NYC with your $500 budget.

Business class to East Coast should get you the PQDs you need or even to YYZ or YUL. I would personally go to YYZ and do a day trip to Niagara Falls (Canada side). You get to see the fall colours and it's not too busy between October-November.
