Required Spend or Budget: met the required spend.
Available Travel Dates: options as long as I'm not already booked
Required Metal or Codeshares okay: I don't know what this means

I found: Nov 1 DEN>ORD>MIA PQM=2085 CLASS G; returns on Nov 2 MIA>ORD>DEN PQM=2085 CLASS G. RT $113. Am I accurate to think I will earn a total of 4,170 miles towards my status for the roundtrip?

Hotel stay is not ideal, but I can use my points and found a Hilton nearby.

This doesn't meet my goal, but the same trip is available again on Nov 7.

Is there a better option that I should consider?
Can anyone help me? Another planned trip was cancelled, so I'm in need of at least 10,000 miles to maintain my 1k status. I don't know the best way to search for optimal flights. Would really like to plan something for the weekend of Oct 21-22-23 and/or November 11-12.

Thank you!

You may have to adjust your dates a bit. DEN-IAD-CDG-SFO-DEN Nov 11-13 for $595. Earns ~11,800 PQM's.

PQD needed

Departure Airport: SAN
Miles Needed: -0-
Required Spend or Budget: $2000
Available Travel Dates: all of Nov & Dec
Required Metal or Codeshares okay: anything that earns PQD

Estimated to be at 140,000+ PQM but only $10,000 PQD at 12/31 towards keeping 1K. Contemplating going on vacation somewhere and spending the $2,000 on a premium flight somewhere. Is there any flight that would earn me PQD that is worth $2k?

It is important to note that you don't earn PQD's on taxes, so you may have to spend a little over 2k.
You can try SAN-UIO/LIM or SAN-PEK (although you would need a visa), both are in J and cost 2k++.

I suspect that you could find a fare to most North and Central American cities for a bit over $2k, as well as to Hawaii, northern South America and the Caribbean. ICN is possible several days around Thanksgiving for $2362.

Hi folks thanks for the great thread.

Currently PremierPlat, and in the middle of an itinerary right now. Looking for 1K
Will be flying back this route... PEK-SFO-LAS-IAH , BusinessFirst and First for Domestic hops.

Looks like I'll earn (11,828 + 1,000 + 2,444) 15,272

Departure Airport: IAH
Miles Needed: 21,418 -15,272 = 6,146
Required Spend or Budget: Open
Available Travel Dates: Dec 15-31, 2016
Required Metal or Codeshares okay: Flexible.

Sorry for the wordiness. Thank you kindly in advance!

Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong. I'm going off the miles that I earn on previous trips.

For anyone doing the BQN MR as an immediate turn I did it in 2014 and it hurts. If you have the time and the money spend a night in PR and don't turn right back to EWR. Ouch.

AC is a bit tricky. Miles are based on the distance you fly and the fare option you purchase. This chart will help explain it better: http://www.aircanada.com/en/aeroplan...milesChart.pdf

Although cheaper, Tango fares only earn half of the miles (even worse, you only get 25% on flights within Canada), so you would probably want to avoid that and book Flex fare at the very least. Unfortunately, GF doesn't show fare classes, but if you book directly on AC.com you can select from the Flex fare bucket. YVR-SFO/DEN/SLC can be had for ~C$600..still a little under your required miles, but if you add a connecting flight it should be more than enough.

Edit: The price I saw was for weekends in October and November. However, same day turnarounds for that price are quite few..
