For each request, please include the following information:
Departure Airport:
Miles Needed:
Required Spend or Maximum Budget (choose one, and state the value):
Available Travel Dates:
Required Metal or Codeshares Okay:
Route(s) You've Already Searched:
Do you have a Chinese Visa (Yes/No)?
For each response. Please quote the original request. DO NOT START A NEW THREAD.
There are many good fares to China (PEK or PVG). If you have a Chinese visa, these options will be provided.
If your requested PQM is in a few thousand, please give a more accurate amount. You will get fewer options with a roundup number (eg, 5000 instead of 4830; IAD-SFO nonstop will work for the latter.)

Well, if I assume that you can use all 6 Global Premier Upgrade Certificates next year, each of them costs ~$600. If you are able to milk out all other 1K benefits (e.g., receive lots of Complimentary Premier Upgrades by traveling on days with few business travelers, etc.), it may be worth doing this. This is just my two cents.

Hmm, I can find some DEN - TPE trips that would get you 14k for $692, and one DEN - SJU trip that would get you 6400 for $390. Both on weekends. SJU is $280 on weekdays. I'm sure others can find better results.

Sfo-tpe, hkg, sin, pek
If I were you, I would take 5-6 such trips to get to 150K PQM (6 GPUs and 8 RPUs) while reaching $12K PQD.
Good luck.

If you do not mind driving to SFO, there are many choices to Asian cities with a price of $500-600 per round trip. For example, SFO-TPE (12,910 PQM) for $528, SFO-HKG (13,728 PQM) for $521, and SFO-SIN (16,888 PQM) for $582, SMF-PEK (~14000 PQM)), $491, but you need a visa to China ($140 for 10-yrs).

Thanks for this, really helpful! Do you mean return 23 DECEMBER KUL-SIN-LHR for the return leg?

I think the confusion was over the fact that your return trip mentioned KUL-SIN-KUL rather than KUL-SIN-LHR.

UA MR needed
So I used to always do a SFO/HKG/GUM/HNL/SFO MR or two a year to maintain my platinum status... now it appears UA has caught on to this route and has quintupled the prices for no stopover days.
I need about 40k miles to round out my year... anyone have any suggested routes for maximizing PQM miles without spending gobs tons of time in the air?
Details:
Departure Airport: SFO
Miles Needed: 40k or so
Budget: $2,000 USD

UA:$2661 SFO-KEF in Business 20668PQM 2560PQD **All Lay-flat**
KMXU's suggestion is excellent for maximizing GPU/RPU earnings. But if you're not interested (i.e. lots left over this year), then maybe something along this line:
UA:$2661 SFO-KEF in Business 20668PQM 2560PQD **All Lay-flat**
Fri 21 Sep
UA535 SFO-EWR 1135-2007
UA138 EWR-KEF 2230-0810(+1day)
(2h45m in KEF)
Sat 22 Sep
UA139 KEF-EWR 1155-1405
UA1885 EWR-SFO 1806-2120

This is a bit short on PQD, but you can always upfare or look for a more expensive date.
Good luck!
EDIT: Oops, wasn't paying attention to the date. This seasonal route doesn't work so well in Oct. Sorry.

There are plenty of other similar dates available if you look at the price graph on this page: https://www.google.com/flights/#flt=...UA*UA;sd:1;t:f
You could do that route twice for ~$1200 and get 34k PQM, and then make up the remaining 6k PQM doing another route (or back to SIN for a 3rd time and end up with plenty of PQM, and still be under your $2k budget).

No Stopovers, ie: Continuous flying without any layover longer than a plane change or a couple hours. In my previous MR itin, it would be 41 hours from SFO/SFO via all those airports with no more than a 3 hour layover in each place.

MR (or just good CPM) between UIO and GIG
Hi all !
To give feedback on my previous posting, which was about getting a good MR between MEX YVR and GIG, in the end I didn’t go to East Asia because the great price of USD 900 meant flying too long in Y. So I opted for two tickets in P for MEX SFO YVR + YVR SFO ORD MIA and then D with AV MIA BOG GIG, which still gave me about 18k miles albeit it cost around USD 2200.
Anyway, here is my next question
Departure Airport: UIO
Arrival airport: GIG or SDU
Miles Needed: Ideally 10500 but less is ok too
Required Spend or Budget: as little as possible
Class: Only C+ on flights longer than three hours, ideally
Available Travel Dates: leave UIO 12 or 13 Sept, arrive RIO by 16 or max 17 Sept
Required Metal or Codeshares Okay: any *A ok like AV CM etc
Route(s) You've Already Searched: Things just via BOG and / or PTY
Super thanks !
