Booked one for myself ! Thanks so much - but have to figure out how to get to hkg :-)! But it's no risk since they charge no fees for cancellation!

Except for exchange differences unless you paid in a currency of your credit card

No problems at all, cancellation with XP is quite fast unlike changes (involuntary).

I thought we do not call before the deal is alive... I wanted to call TK to make some changes yesterday [before this was posted:-:] but I thought my duty was to let others a chance to book this...

A friend is going to do this in the summer:

YYZ-YVR-PEK(stop)-HKG(stop)
HKG-IST(stop)-LAX(stop)
LAX-YYZ

all in for under $1400... a pretty crazy summer RTW fare with 4 stops!
less than a cost of a ticket to Europe! But for her it priced out in U class
Thanks OP!

She will wait until the dust settles on this one to book the other (non-refundable) flights

Expedia.ca kept choking, so had to book it in USD on .com

Before this thread got started, I wasn't even thinking of qualifying for 100K level with Onepass (which will become UA 1K next year) as I'd be flying just enough to get to about 75K level (thanks to TK mistake fare earlier + CM EQM bonii when booking at their website).

23K EQM for 800 USD is a bit difficult to pass... especially on TK's prem economy... which looks like UA's older biz seats with less recline.

I need to tie in my CPT trip but dates in June/July/August are very limited probably due to the new 77W flying to HKG once a week during this period.

A bit more brainstorming and I will get this sorted out.

well actually, since this is claimed to earn 150% EQMs in A class - its more like 35,568 EQMs

If this books into A it will not earn 150% EQM on UA.

UA credits TK A class at 100% EQM and 150% RDM. Link

CO credits TK A class at 150% EQM and 125% RDM. Link

But remember, "Continental Airlines and Turkish Airlines reserve the right to change the eligible fare classes at any time without notice." So as TK rolls out more 77Ws and returns the 9W leases CO/UA could easily change A class from First to Premium Economy and disallow the increased earnings.

I'm in for next March with my wife. We were scheming to get to Croatia then anyway, so this is golden. HKG-IST ; 16 days; IST-LAX. Getting to HKG from here is not an issue.

CC shows $824.23 pending for the two A fare tickets booked on thy.com.
