Booked on Expedia and made the change only days after the fare got fixed. I had no problems at all, the booking agent was pretty efficient. Then I just had to call Expedia and confirm that I called the airline to make changes.

Great to hear that date changes (without reissue of ticket) appear not to create an issue at check-in (as otherwise firmly predicted by others in this thread )

Now, we just need to hear from someone who successfully added/rebooked with a stop-over in IST (before first leg was flown)

You called TK to change an expedia booking? Which TK office did you call?

Thanks for all the information, Santander. It will come in handy when I decide what to do with my later trips.

LAX, JFK, ORD, and IAD all refused to touch my booking(s).
Maybe your agent just didn't notice the TA notation.

My miles for HKG-IST posted today 4989 base + 499 CoS = 5488 EQM. making SE should be easy this year. I think I'll go back to OW next year, but I'll enjoy SE when I get it.

For those you that have taken the TK flights how is the overhead space? Wondering if I should take a 20" or 22" bag. Are they enforcing the 18 pound limit?

Called TK to make a change to the IST-LAX but was told that they cannot touch the itinerary as my trip has not begun (and informed me that there are no penalties for the rebooking).

Spoke to an XP agent and was told that there are no fees involved in changing IST-LAX but was told that they need to reissue my ticket - this will jack up the cost to $2,200!

Will try calling TK again tomorrow.

1. read all 22 pages of this thread, this has been discussed
2. you got a perfectly valid answer from XP, don't expect something different from TK. They maybe made some mistakes in the past, but don't expect it to happen again
3. Happy flying!

How long (after your flight) does it take for the miles to be posted?

I took the June 4-5 flights (HKG-IST-LAX), and they have now posted to my CO account on June 8.

As previously reported, CO did give EQM and RDM bonuses for my "A" fare.

14836 RDM and 17802 EQM total for the 2 TK segments

Does anyone have feedback on the "U" fares? I believe CO and UA gives 100%/100%, is this true?

I should've booked all one-ways to get the A fares, as I'm using this to re-qual for 1K.

A couple of days for the first segment, still waiting on the second.

Nobody weighed my bags on any of my 3 flights, but I saw some people getting their bags weighed in LAX. There was room leftover after I put my 20" up top, so a 22" should be fine.

Just a warning for those of you who haven't been to IST before... fuel prices are insane. I mean that it will cost you over $100 (not TL) to fill something like a Peugeot 206 which is what I'm driving. Think twice before renting!

Same thing happened to me (although my new price was $1700).

Santander - did you just get super luck, or what?
