I have never received an EEO. I am silver through the visa card usually don't stay enough to make silver on travel and own a Marriott timeshare (starwood makes owners gold!).

Anyone ideas on why no EEO? should I call Marriott about this - who to call?

thanks

I believe that EEO certificates are sent to Gold and Platinum members only. And I'm not really sure about Gold.

Not according to the Marriott Rewards website:

http://marriott.com/rewards/learn/me...WT_Ref=mi_left

Says only to golds and plats. If any silvers are getting them, it's apparently a benefit beyond the rules.

What is an EEO certificate? I'm Gold and I've never even gotten one...

Hello melodrama,

EEO stands for Exclusive Elite Offers. This certificate indicates that you will be entitled to a Buy 1 Night, Get 1 Night Free Offer at Participating Full service Marriott Hotels as well as the Renaissance Hotels.

Go to marriott.com. Sign in to your account. Then look for the link that says "Browse Gold Offers." Click on that link and it will give you a list of Gold member specials. You would print out that particular offer and use it for a future stay.

EEO stands for Elite Only Offers. I believe they're just for platinums. I think the most popular would be BOGO on Full Serve Marriotts and Rens. These are for weekend stays, generally during non-peak periods with a couple dozen or so popular locations excluded (as are also resorts). Another example is one I'm using next month....a 150K reward cert good for seven nights total nights.... to be divided 3-4-3 at any European hotels.

In other words, nothing "super spectacular"....but some pretty nice/much appreciated stuff.

Elite offers are for Gold and Platinum members as Marcell wrote earlier. Marriott's mailing of EEOs has been somewhat inconsistent in the past. I got the most recent mailing about 4 weeks after they were available online. However, I did not get this spring's EEOs in the mail.

Thanks for clarifying. Very true about the inconsistent nature of the mailings. I also didn't get a mailing for the spring, but did get one for the summer....some time after the offers had been posted online. The current batch generally expires Aug 28. Last year the summer offers were good until Mid-Sept. If they stay true to form, the next ones will surface sometime in October.

Annoying for anyone who might have use for one of these in September. Fortunately, this time around, that wouldn't include me.

Are the Gold deals still up? If so, they are pretty paltry, no 2 for 1s, no dining discounts.

If I'm missing them, please let me know where they are!

Thanks
Beachfan

Nope - the last batch expired 8/28. We are all waiting with baited breath for the next batch to post. A rumor was that they might post 9/15, but we've all learned to take that with a grain of salt.

Mine-and I think most everyone else's here expired on 8/28/2006(at least the good ones-i.e. the "2-fers")

My assumption is you are referring to offers beyond the two for one which the OP was questioning???
