Lifetime points are missing from the profile section of the website and show as 0 in the Marriott mobile app. However, you may be able to use the work-around referenced in this blog post to see your current Lifetime Points.

You can still view your lifetime points online with the following steps:
  1. Go to www.marriott.com and login
  2. Go to https://www.marriott.com/rewards/rewards-program.mi
  3. Click "Nights"
See screenshot of what to click.

If you call Marriott they can also tell you your lifetime points balance.

http://www.marriott.com/marriott/rew...te-benefits.mi As of 20 May, this process does not work. There is no link called "Night Detail" on this page.

To check lifetime balances: (HT to txpenny)
1. Click "Night Detail".
2. Click "Learn More" (under the night total)
3. Click "Marriott Rewards Overview". At this point you're probably no longer logged in (because you've been thrown to an older version of the Marriott website), so log in again.
4. Click "Nights" under your current year's nights. -> The detail you're expecting showing LT nights and points will show up like before.

Lifetime Silver Elite:
250 qualified nights
1.2 million points

Lifetime Gold Elite
500 qualified nights
1.6 million points

Lifetime Platinum Elite
750 qualified nights
2.0 million points

To check your point and night balance, log into your account and click My Account > Account Overview > Nights.

"Elite Lifetime Status is determined by your total qualified nights stayed and points earned throughout the course of your membership – including your paid nights, Elite rollover nights, meeting nights and the nights and points earned on your Marriott Rewards Credit Card."

Points used by members to buyback their previously attained Elite level will be permanently deducted from their Lifetime point balance.

If an elite's point level drops below that required for the level attained, they will drop down to the next Lifetime level until points are accumulated to get them back to the next level.

Lifetime points in addition to nights now display on your Marriott Rewards account. When logged in, click on "Nights" (the blue link below the number representing your current year nights). You'll see the detail of what comprises your current year nights as well as your Lifetime Status nights.

Actually there is PP above Plat, and when you hold that status you will definitely not see a LTP-card before at least you drop to Plat...but otherwise I agree that this makes sense, especially in displaying long-time loyalty to Marriott by the LT-notation on the card.

I got my LTP while I was Plat Prem. I became Plat Prem the beginning of Jan that year and LTP the end of Jan. And there is no LTPP. (At least I've never heard anyone mention it.) LTP is the top of the line for lifetime status.

I realize one can phone Marriott and ask them to find out for you, but that seems like vast overkill in 2014. This should be viewable on the site and mobile app.

Of course, if I can't find it any other way when I'm down to the final few nights before I qualify on nights, I'll have no choice but to call. Just seems silly...
Yes, you are right, it SHOULD be online. However, it's not. I'd rather see their IT group fixing the website and given their track record, not introduce new features (especially buggy ones).

I'm sure they have it on their list of to-do's, but don't expect to see it anytime soon. That said, it just might show up in the next release.

Has MR ever actually stated the requirements needed to attain LT Plat?

I have had this status since 2004, and at that point I didn't come close to having the reported 1,000 nights. I believe that I was given the status based on longevity, as I have been a MR member since inception.

Has anyone else had a similar experience?

Lifetime Marriott Rewards elite status

I'll hit lifetime platinum this year, I never got a lifetime silver or gold package as I've hit platinum level each if the past few years so never dropped to the level where it would make sense. I would kinda like a lifetime Platinum card even if I have my annual platinum one.

Well, you asked "ever", and "currently" is part of ever, and yes currently they define the stated requirements: At least 750 lifetime nights as well as at least 2.0 million lifetime points. There's a Marriott website link in this thread that documents that.

But as to whether they actually stated the requirements back in 2004, that's a separate question. I do know for a fact that the requirements have changed more than once over time; these latest requirements only came into effect a year ago or so.

1. Yes they have & it's been documented in this forum (and this thread).

2. On the 20th anniversary of Marriott Rewards, Marriott granted Lifetime Platinum status to those members who had been MR members since the inception of the program. Some who were granted LTP would have earned it anyway; just got them there a bit sooner. Others might not have & just lucked out.

* On the 20th anniversary of Hilton's program Hilton gifted everyone their original frequent traveler card as a paperweight Can't speak for others but Marriott definitely gets more of my bizness

Cheers.

Ask and it will be granted to you!

Marriott have it seems just updated the website and now include a Lifetime tracker. It's not easy to find though...

You can find the lifetime points counter by going to your account overview and clicking/tapping the 2014 nights detail. This now brings up not only the detail of your nights breakdown for the year but also a Platinum Lifetime tracker including both lifetime nights AND points.

I think Marriott may have been getting a lot of emails from Flyertalkers and so decided to publish the numbers. Whatever the reason it's there now!

How much do you stay at Marriott family brands a year? I stay exactly what it takes me to max out the maximum bonus each cycle (meaning 75 to 85 nights), and I'm always staying on LNF rates roughly in the $75ish range. But those bonuses gives a flat 50k for 25 nights or 55k for 30 nights, so if you are participating in and maxing out those bonuses, that's a lot of points which you earn that are independent of your (lower) rate.

So, for example, 75 nights all earnings these bonuses (50k bonus for 25 nights in each cycle) means you can earn 150k bonuses on each 75 nights, meaning 1.5 million bonuses on 750 nights! That's not counting a single point earned from "normal" earning, status bonuses, or credit cards! That's 1.5 million in (50k-for-each-25-nights) bonuses only, on those 750 nights.

But of course, you will earn some points other than those points, so you'll have more than 1.5 million after 750 nights, if you "follow the bonuses".

I reached Lifetime Plat three weeks ago, and today, my new card came.

Now that that's out of way, I'm going to do a status match with Hilton and check out their places for a while.

Just confirming this....I've been Plat for several years, first time at PP for 2014 (based on 2013 stays). At some point in Dec 2013/Jan 2014 I hit the LTP numbers and both cards arrived within a few weeks of each other.
