Lifetime points are missing from the profile section of the website and show as 0 in the Marriott mobile app. However, you may be able to use the work-around referenced in this blog post to see your current Lifetime Points.
You can still view your lifetime points online with the following steps:
If you call Marriott they can also tell you your lifetime points balance.
http://www.marriott.com/marriott/rew...te-benefits.mi As of 20 May, this process does not work. There is no link called "Night Detail" on this page.
To check lifetime balances: (HT to txpenny)
1. Click "Night Detail".
2. Click "Learn More" (under the night total)
3. Click "Marriott Rewards Overview". At this point you're probably no longer logged in (because you've been thrown to an older version of the Marriott website), so log in again.
4. Click "Nights" under your current year's nights. -> The detail you're expecting showing LT nights and points will show up like before.
Lifetime Silver Elite:
250 qualified nights
1.2 million points
Lifetime Gold Elite
500 qualified nights
1.6 million points
Lifetime Platinum Elite
750 qualified nights
2.0 million points
To check your point and night balance, log into your account and click My Account > Account Overview > Nights.
"Elite Lifetime Status is determined by your total qualified nights stayed and points earned throughout the course of your membership – including your paid nights, Elite rollover nights, meeting nights and the nights and points earned on your Marriott Rewards Credit Card."
Points used by members to buyback their previously attained Elite level will be permanently deducted from their Lifetime point balance.
If an elite's point level drops below that required for the level attained, they will drop down to the next Lifetime level until points are accumulated to get them back to the next level.
Lifetime points in addition to nights now display on your Marriott Rewards account. When logged in, click on "Nights" (the blue link below the number representing your current year nights). You'll see the detail of what comprises your current year nights as well as your Lifetime Status nights.

I'm waiting with my 2396 nights and 7+ million points for a lifetime Platinum Premier. I have no clue why.

Punchline: PP is meaningless, just book into what you want and not sweat hoping Marriott gives a handout. Pathetic I know but the way it is.

I need 35 nights and 25k points for Lifetime Plat. Will have the points when Megabonus posts in the next few days. Nights by May/June. They have to be stayed nights.....
With only 20k points in my account, I used those 1,980,000 points well!

so do meeting nights.
I am 370k short of LT gold with travel slowing down significantly...
Any suggestions on racking up points - i can think only of CC churn. Do transferred points to make a reservation count? Ie transfer points from my non-elite SO to make reservation.

Lifetime status and rollover nights
So in looking at my stats today, I think I have more lifetime nights than expected. If I do mental math, I think it's from the rollover nights - it seems the number of nights that rolled over got counted again towards lifetime. Is that how it's supposed to work? It's awesome, because I'm almost to 750 now But wanted to check here to see other's experience.

With rollover, nights can count twice but not more since rollover can't rollover again no matter how big it is.

Is Platinum LT really for life?
I've been assuming my new Marriott LT Platinum status means, well, I'm Platinum for as long as I live. Marriott's reps seem to have a bit of difficulty either comprehending or explaining this, based on my recent email exchange with them; they keep trying to warn me that my status level may drop . Dear sir,
At this moments you are Platinum Elite, if you fail to complete the 75 Elite nights during 2014 you will be downgraded to the level achieved (Silver or Gold), but as you already completed the requirements for Platinum Lifetime, you account will show as Platinum Lifetime.
--- Original Message ---
Thank you. I don't understand your paragraph beginning "Please note". How would it be possible for a lifetime platinum to ever be any other status?

Dear sir:
To date, your Marriott Rewards account reflects 767 lifetime Elite nights and 2,243,906 total points accumulated. You are already a Platinum Lifetime member.
Please note, once a member achieves Lifetime Elite status, it will not be reflected on the account in our systems until they fail to meet the requirements of an equivalent or higher Elite status. For example, if your account status is Platinum Elite, and you achieve Lifetime Gold Elite status, your account will continue to reflect Platinum Elite unless you fail to meet the requirements to renew the Platinum Elite status.

You don't become LTP until you stop being P or PP.

If you qualify, you are Lifetime Platinum. I've been Platinum every year since 2002, including 2012 and 2013, but I received my Lifetime Platinum card and welcome letter early last year. You don't need to "stop" anything to "become" LTP.
In terms of being "reflected" on-line, the agent's note means that if you only meet the Gold criteria one year, instead of showing as "Gold", you will still show as "Platinum". It will not become "Lifetime Platinum". There is currently no "Lifetime Platinum" status to show/not show on line.
If you are Lifetime Gold and achieve Platinum status, if will show Platinum status. If you don't have any stays the next year, it will show "Gold". It will never show "Lifetime Gold".
MR could easily solve this as SPG did, by representing LT status separately.
IME and extensive discussions on MI.

FWIW, I've been LTP for apparently a couple of years now, yet I haven't gotten anything from MI that says so (other than confirmation via E-mail from MI in reply to my asking them personally).
