I have a question to the hotel about the dragon offer.

For a 2 night stay, will you deduct 2,000 baht from a single bill when checking out? Or do we have to dine in the hotel every day to receive the daily discount of 1,000 baht? Can I use my Starwood Privilege card too?

We, too, are going to be celebrating the year of the Tiger - we hope to see many of you return to our property!

This would be per day.

The e-mail address provided to us at the point of check-in is used for these type of promotional activities - as long as you have opted in to receive them.

However, we will have more information regarding a mailing list in the near future.

No apology is necessary, but if I were you I would be so embarassed especially when the new GM is Singaporean. As I have said before, your marketing department badly need a big shake-up.

This is hugely annoying as I'm currently posting from the lounge of the PA Bangkok and had no idea of this promotion! If Plaza Athenee, BKK (Starwood) reads this before 1830hrs and is in the hotel, perhaps he could come and find me and explain how I get onto the mailing list!

Are Platinums upgraded to suite-type of accommodations with executive privileges under this "DRAGON" rate?

I'm also surprised that I'm not on the mailing list. I've stayed there several times.

Guys IMO give them a break. Obviously they are trying to get a mailing list together and the first try didn't go well. Big deal, no need to get ticked off at the property, I'm pleased they are trying to offer more promotions and confident they will improve their dissemination of it.
