Really? I don't have much to compare it to in the Maldives but I thought it was decent. Saw lots of turtles, stingray, and plenty of fish. You do have to swim out pretty far to the orange buoys which look like it's in the "dark blue" ocean section which felt a little scary though granted. The first swim we didn't make it all the way and just saw random / smaller patches of coral which still had a lot of fish but wasn't the same.
i just turned on airplane mode and turned wifi on to use WiFi calling from my cellular service provider. Didn't really find a dead zone for wifi in the entire resort.

Upon arrival at MLE nobody asked for any document, just your passport being stamped and on you go. In theory (on the website), it seems the IMUGA form should be filled-in for departure, anyone has DP on that? I am yet to hear of this requirement being actually enforced...

Can two people share food ordered from a single meal plan (with the exception of breakfast)? I'm a light eater and figured I'd go a la carte, but know I will be tempted to nibble on my partner's food if he gets a meal plan.

I would imagine the answer to this would be no, the plans are very much per person. If you ordered a ala carte meal alongside I would imagine it would be fine, but if you just ordered a side or starter then ate mainly from your partners food it would be considered unacceptable, which I would agree with them on.

I’m pretty sure someone posted that 2 people sharing a room must both sign up for a meal plan or both decline it, presumably to prevent this very thing from happening.

this is correct, all guests in a room must be on a meal plan, and once you start a meal plan you have to stay on the meal plan for the rest of the trip. But if you have a week stay, you can do a la carte for 3 days and meal plan for 4 days (min 4 days for a split like this I think I remember hearing)

You may want to email them the details (room booked, child's age) to see for sure. We're planning a visit next year with our 10 year old. I have an award reservation for a Sunrise OWV and they said it would be $75 per night to add a child, but that would include breakfast. I had told them I do not want a rollaway bed...she'll crash on the sofa.
