As of Oct 28 Asia time Sheraton at Sydney still is not bookable on Marriott platform. Still being redirected to SPG platform to book.

I have an OC9 that will convert to a NC6. I also have two 7-night reservations at a former Cat 9 hotel that became a Cat 6, but will be using only one of them once my travel plans are definite. I can either use the NC6 with a value of 300K (6*50K) at standard rates for the stay or 270K in points (6*45K).

In the past hotel awards were freely convertible and almost indefinitely extendable and I have used every night of every package. Since that flexibility no longer exists, I believe that the prudent thing to do is use the NC6 certificate, even though I might get better value by using that certificate at a peak time later. Although this choice seems easy, do any of you disagree with this decision and why?

Sheraton hotel in Thailand said there is a big IT update coming the 30th or 31st I suspect it is the update that will include Sheraton to the data base.
It is a mystery to me why Marriott cannot notify customers in advance of updates - for one thing so we don't spend needless hours trying to book online or call - but this is just another example of their disdain for us. They know when systems will be disrupted but don't want to tell their customers OR their customer "service" reps :)

What? seriously? they will allow it again in 2019?
No luck for me. I was thinking of cashing out mine in the next couple of weeks. The hotels I like are all NC6, so no use for an OC8.

If they do, that would certainly be great!

Sheraton Integration day. Most properties should already be bookable using TP's and points advance reservations. If you see a property that isnt integrated, give it till tomorrow morning.

My ambassador told me this morning that is what she is expecting...but also, not to blame her if it doesn't happen. She said once all of the updates roll out (so every property is bookable under the Marriott engine) that is the plan. FWIW...

Hi folks, I called the platinum line and converted an old 7-night cat5 cert to a new 7-night cat4 cert, and I got this confirmation email. Does this look correct? Is QP82 right?

I never thought I'd be able to use my certificate if they didn't keep extending it until it happened to work out. But I recently converted it from the old 1-5 to a new 1-4 plus upgraded it to a 5 at the same time. It took several phone calls and they overcharged me 30000 points, but just credited them back because it was easier than trying to fix the mistake. I just used it for a week at Barcelona Renaissance, which worked out well. In the end the week really didn't cost me anything thanks to the old package pricing. But I'm glad to have one less thing to worry about.

Anyone have any luck with NC7's yet?

Looks like the integration is working but the TP are not bookable online and I will need to call Marriott to book them.

I dont think anyone ever said they would be bookable online, just bookable

Points Advance reservations are available online. TP's have always been redeemable via phone and will continue to be via phone, if online does come about its news to me.

Hi folks. Do you guys have success to book SPG property using the new Cat 1-4 7 nights certificate? I called SPG reservation line, they can see the certificate in my account but they can't book it citing the system integration issues. They ask me to call back later but can't tell me when. Any people succeed? Any suggestions? Thanks.
